IPMAT Selection Procedure 2021: The admission authority conducts the selection procedure for IPMAT just to shortlist candidates for providing admission into the Integrated Programme in Management at IIM Indore. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in aptitude test followed by interview rounds. It is most probable that the selection process would be started from June 2021 (probably). Basically, the IPMAT 2021 selection procedure is divided into following two rounds and weightage would be provided accordingly.
- First Stage- Aptitude Test or IPMAT
- Second Stage- Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI)

First Stage (Aptitude Test)
Candidates will be shortlisted first according to their performance in the Aptitude test or IPMAT. Candidates who have achieved the minimum qualifying marks in the exam will be invited only for attending the further stage i.e. Written Aptitude test and Personal Interview.
Second Stage- Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI)
All shortlisted candidates will be further invited to attend the interview conducted by a panel of IIM Indore. They will be also instructed to write an Essay on a provided topic. The final selection will depend upon candidates’ combined performance in these two rounds. After completion of this round, candidates will be called directly to find admission into the five-year integrated management programme.
There will be different weight-age assigned for multiple rounds. The weight-age of IPMAT 2021 will be 60%, whereas, 40% will be given to the Personal Interview.
IPMAT 2021 Shortlisting Norms
- 50% weight-age will be given to the Aptitude Test Score;
- 35% weight-age will be given to the Personal Interview;
- Rest 15% weightage will be given to the Written Ability Test;
Candidates are informed that selection rounds would be conducted through eight cities including Mumbai, Kolkata, Indore, Hyderabad, Guwahati, Delhi, Chennai and Bangalore.
Reservation Policy
Reservation norms will be applicable in following ways:
- 15% reservation will be given to the Scheduled Caste category candidates;
- 5% reservation will be provided to the Scheduled Tribe category candidates;
- 27% seats will be reserved for OBC-NCL category;
- 3% reservation would be given to PwD category candidates;
