IIPS Admission 2022: Application Form(Soon), Eligibility Criteria, Syllabus

International Institute for Population Sciences will release admission notification with Government of India fellowship to the following programmes:

  • M.A./M.Sc in Population Studies
  • M.Sc in Bio-Statistics and Demography
  • Masters in Population Studies(MPS)
  • D in Population Studies/Biostatistics & Demography
  • Part-time Ph.D Programme in Population Studies/Biostatistics & Demography
  • Post Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) programme

There will be an online admission test for aforesaid programmes and online application form for the same is likely to release in February 2022. The detailed admission Bulletin for each course will be updated soon.

Educational Qualification

M.A./M.Sc in Population Studies: Minimum 50% marks in a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in India or abroad.

M.Sc in Bio-Statistics and Demography: Minimum 50% marks in BA/BSc in Health Statistics or Bio-statistics or Mathematics or Statistics Or 55% marks (50% for reserved candidates) in BA/BSc degree with two full papers on Mathematics or Statistics from a recognized university in India or abroad.

Masters in Population Studies(MPS): Minimum 55% marks (50% for reserved category) in MA/MSc from a recognized university in India or abroad in subjects: Statistics, Sociology, Social work, Rural Development, Psychology, Population Education, Political Science, Population studies, Mathematics, Health Statistics, Geography, Economics, Development Studies, Bio-statics, Anthropology or candidates should have Master degree (other than above) with a minimum 2 years work experience in Population and Health related field.

Ph.D in Population Studies/Biostatistics & Demography: Minimum 55% marks (50% for reserved category) in Masters in Population Studies, MA/MSc in Population Studies, MSc in Biostatistics & Demography, MPhil in Population Studies, MPhil in Bio-statistics & Demography, MPhil in Bio-statistics from a recognized university in India or abroad.

Part-time PhD Programmes: Master’s degree with at least five years of work experience after Master’s in Population Studies/Demography/Public Health in academic institutions/central and state governments/research and development organizations, for those who are not able to pursue the doctoral programme in full-time mode. Candidates will be admitted based on written test and personal interview.

Post Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) programme: Candidates should have PhD in Population Studies or related fields such as health, gender, development, and social sciences with publications in peer reviewed journals/edited books. The duration of the programme is one year.

Candidates appearing in final year candidates are permitted to apply.

Age Criteria

  • Master of Arts/Sciencein Population Studies(M.A./M.Sc.): The upper age limit is 25 years as on June30, 2022
  • Master of Science in Bio-statistics and Demography (M.B.D.): The upper age limit is 25 years as on June 30, 2022
  • Master of Population Studies (M.P.S.): The upper age limit is 28 years as on June 30, 2022
  • Doctor of Philosophy in Population Studies/Bio-statistics & Demography (Ph.D.): The upper age limit is 30 years as on June 30, 2022.
  • Part-Time Ph.D Programme: No age limit
  • Post Doctoral Fellowship (P.D.F.): The upper age limit is 40 years as on June 30, 2022

Fellowship Amount

  • A./M.Sc in Population Studies: Rs.5000/- PM.
  • Sc in Bio-Statistics and Demography: Rs.5000/- PM.
  • Masters in Population Studies(MPS): Rs.5000/- PM
  • D in Population Studies/Biostatistics & Demography: Please visit IIPS website.
  • Post Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) programme: Rs.50000/- plus HRA PM.

IIPS 2022 Application Form

IIPS 2022 application form will be available online at official website of International Institute for Population Sciences. The online application form will be most probably from February 2022.

Candidates need to confirm their eligibility before they apply for International Institute for Population Sciences IIPS admission 2022. The online application link will be provided here soon.

The non-refundable processing fees are Rs. 1000/-for General category, Rs. 500/-for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)and EWS category,and Rs. 250/-for SC/ST/PWD category.

All candidates are required to send hardcopy of the online application form and all supporting documents to“The In-charge,Academic Section, International Institute for Population Sciences, Govandi Station Road, Deonar, Mumbai-400088” on or before March 24, 2022. Candidates are required to write on the envelope in BOLD “Application for admission to _____________ (course name).

IIPS 2022 Exam Pattern & Syllabus

Please go through the exam pattern for International Institute for Population Sciences IIPS 2022 entrance test:

  • There will be an online entrance test conducted across India.
  • The online entrance test will comprise of objective type questions of multiple choices.
  • There will be no admission test for foreign category candidates and admissions will be offered if they fulfill the eligibility requirements of the institute.

IIPS 2022 Syllabus: The entrance exam will comprises of questions from Basic General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, English Grammar, Basic Mathematics, Population, Health, and Social Science Issues.

  • Master of Arts/Sciencein Population Studies(M.A./M.Sc.): On the basis of a common online entrance test.
  • Master of Science in Bio-statistics and Demography (M.B.D.): On the basis of a commononline entrance test.
  • Master of Population Studies (M.P.S.): On the basis of a commononline entrance test and personal interview
  • Doctor of Philosophy in Population Studies/Bio-statistics & Demography (Ph.D.): On the basis ofacommon online entrance test, proposal writing and personal interview
  • Part-Time Ph.D Programme: Offline Written Test and Personal Interview
  • Post Doctoral Fellowship (P.D.F.): Presentation of Research Proposal as well as personal interview
