Steps to fill NIMCET Application Form 2022

Application form for the NIMCET exam 2022 will be made available through online mode. But before that, the candidates will have to register themselves by visiting the official NIMCET website. Check the detailed process to fill the NIMCET Application Form 2022 from below.

Step 1: Online registration

  • Go to the official website of NIMCET www.nimcet.in and click on the ‘New Registration’ link (the link will be made available soon).
  • ‘New User Registration’ webpage will appear on the screen asking you to provide details like name, email address, phone number, security question, its answer, etc.
  • Once you provide and submit the details asked, you will receive an email containing a link to access the webpage to set your own password.
  • After you successfully set the password, you can use it along with your registered email address to obtain the application form.

Note: Those who forget the password created during registration will be provided a link to reset the same on the official website.

Step 2: Filling the application form

  • In the application form, you will be asked to provide some basic personal and academic details related to you.
  • You can also choose three test centers of your choice in the form in the order of preference (a list of the exam cities is provided below).
  • The fields marked with an asterisk sign (*) will be mandatory and should not be left by the candidates.
  • Make sure to provide the information accurately as any incorrect information will make your application liable for rejection.
  • Once all the details are entered, you can proceed with next step, i.e., uploading of documents.

Step 3: Document upload

  • Documents such as candidates’ photograph, signature, proof of identity, proof of date of birth, all mark sheets and category & PWD certificate, as applicable, need to be uploaded into the application form.
  • All the documents should be in scanned format and duly attested by the candidates.

Step 4: Application fee payment

The candidates will be redirected to the payment gateway after the documents are uploaded successfully. Details of the application fee and the payment mode have been provided here:

Application fee:

The application fee will be Rs. 2500/- for open/ open-EWS/ OBC category candidates and Rs. 1250/- for SC/ ST/ PWD category candidates.

Mode of payment

Candidates are required to make payment of the application fee through online mode through NIMCET website only. Payment can be done using the facility of net banking or debit card/ credit card.

Step 5: Final submission of the form

  • After the payment of the application fee is successfully done, click on the ‘Finally Submit’ button to make submission of the form.
  • A PDF version of the completed application form containing a unique ‘Application Registration Number’ will appear on the screen.
  • The applicant is advised to download a soft copy of this application and also keep a printed copy of the same.

Things to be kept in mind

  • Make sure that you meet the basic eligibility before applying for the exam.
  • Read the information brochure and the important FAQs before starting the registration process.
  • Multiple registrations should be avoided as it can lead to cancellation of candidature.
  • No provision for submission of application will be available after the last date is over.
  • Any incorrect or false entry into the application form can lead to its cancellation. Also, the admit cards will be made available only after scrutiny of the applications.
  • Other than online, no mode is provided by the authorities for submission of application form or fee.
  • Hard copy of the application form and the supporting documents need not be sent to the coordinating NIT.
  • Do not wait for the last date to submit your application. Earlier submission not only protects you from end-time server failure but also helps you get exam center of your choice.
  • Application number generated should be noted by the candidates as it will be required during any future correspondence.
