Eligibility Criteria for Institute of Chemical Technology Admission 2023
The following eligibility criteria must be fulfilled by the candidates who want to apply for Institute of Chemical Technology Admission 2023:
- Master of Chemical Engineering: The candidate should have passed Bachelor in Chemical Engineering or BE/ B.Tech in Chemical Engineering/ Biotechnology/ Biochemical Engineering or B.Sc (Tech) in any branch of Chemical Technology/ Biotechnology with at least 60% marks in aggregate (55% marks for backward class candidates). Minimum 120 hours of classroom teaching of Mathematics course(s) at the UG level is also required.
- M.Tech Dyestuff Technology: The candidate holding Bachelor in Chemical Engineering or B.Sc (Tech)/ B.Tech in any branch of Chemical Technology/ Biotechnology B.Pharma or M.Sc (Chemistry) with minimum 60% marks in aggregate (55% marks for the backward class candidate) are eligible.
- M.Pharma: The candidate should hold a B.Pharma degree with 60% marks in aggregate (55% marks in for backward class candidate).
- ME (Plastic Engineering): The candidate should have passed BE/ B.Tech in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Plastics/ Polymer/ Production/ Chemical/ Chemical Plant Engineering with not less than 60% marks in aggregate (55% marks for backward class candidates).
- M.Tech Bioprocess Technology: Those with Bachelor in Chemical Engineering, B.Pharma, B.Tech/ BE in Chemical Engineering/ Chemical Technology/ Food Engineering and Technology/ Food Engineering/ Food Technology/ Food Process Technology/ Food Process Engineering/ Dairy Technology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemical Engineering/ biomedical Engineering/ Pharmaceutical Technology/ Industrial Biotechnology with 60% marks in aggregate (55% marks for backward class candidates) can apply.

- M.Tech (Green Technology/ Perfumery and Flavor Technology): The candidate should hold Bachelor of Chemical Engineering or B.Sc (Tech)/ B.Tech in any branch of Chemical Technology/ Biotechnology or B.Pharma or M.Sc in Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry) with not less than 60% marks in aggregate (55% marks for backward class candidates).
- M.Sc (Chemistry): The candidates who have B.Sc degree with Chemistry as a major subject and Mathematics at HSC level with at least 60% marks in aggregate (55% for the backward class candidates) are eligible to apply.
- M.Sc (Engineering Mathematics): The candidate should have passed B.Sc. with Mathematics/ Statistics or B.Tech/ B.E. with at least four mathematics courses with at least 55% marks in aggregate (50% for the students from reserved category).
- M.Sc (Physics) (Material Science): A pass in B.Sc with Physics at the third year of the course with minimum 55% marks in aggregate (50% marks for backward class candidates) is required. BE/ B.Tech candidates can apply too.
- M.Sc (Textile Chemistry): The applicants should hold B.Sc with Chemistry at the third year of the course with no less than 55% marks in aggregate (50% marks for backward class candidates).
- PhD courses: A master’s degree in relevant specialization is required to be eligible for PhD courses.
Institute of Chemical Technology Application Form 2023
The application form for Institute of Chemical Technology Admission 2023 will be made available on the official website www.ictmumbai.edu.in hopefully in the month of June 2023. Other than online, no mode for obtaining the application form is provided.
- To fill the application form, the candidates need to provide their basic personal details like name, gender, date of birth, category, etc.
- Details related to their qualifying exam like year of passing, name of university, marks scored, etc will also be asked in the application form.
- Candidates also need to upload scanned copies of their photograph, signature and other important documents in the application form.
- The duly-filled application fee can then be submitted along with the prescribed application fee.
- A printout of the application form along with photocopies of the important documents should be sent to the institute as well.
- A copy of the filled-in application form should be kept safe by the candidates too in case of future reference.

Application fee:
- The application fee will be Rs. 1000/- for open category candidates and Rs. 500/- for reserved category candidates.
- Candidates can pay application form fee with online mode by using Credit card/ Debit card or by Net Banking only.
ICT Entrance Test 2023 Admit Card
- The institute will publish the admit card to appear for the written test on its official website.
- Admit card will be released for the candidates who submit their application form successfully on time.
- On the admit card, important details related the exam such as center, date and timing will be mentioned.
- Candidates should download the admit card, take its printout and carry it with them while reporting to the exam center.
- The candidates need to keep their admit card safe from damage as such admit cards will be considered as invalid.
ICT Entrance Test Result 2023
- Candidates will be able to check their result through online mode from the website of the institute.
- Those who clear the exam, their names will be included in the merit list. The list will be prepared on the basis of marks scored by the candidates in the entrance exam.
- For courses where admission is done on the basis of GATE/ GPAT/ GAT-B/ NET/ CSIR/ DBT-JRF, the list will be made on the basis of marks in the respective exams.
- For courses where admission is done on the basis of qualifying exam, the list will be made on the basis of marks in the qualifying exam.
- The candidates whose names appear in the merit list will be considered for the admissions.

Question 1: Can I apply for more than one course?
Answer: Yes. The candidates can fill a separate application form with separate application fee to apply for different courses at ICT.
Question 2: Can a candidate outside Maharashtra state apply for admission?
Answer: Yes. But only the candidates of Maharashtra state will be eligible for the benefits of reservation.
Question 3: I accidentally submitted my hardcopy of application form without the documents. Can I send the documents separately?
Answer: No you cannot. Attachment of any certificates will not be accepted separately after submission of the application form.
Question 4: Do I get any fellowship to study at the Institute of Chemical Technology?
Answer: GATE/ GPAT/ GAT-B/ NET/ CSIR/ DBT-JRF qualified candidates will be considered for the fellowship award as per the rules of the institute. The following documents required for fellowship- GATE/ GPAT Score Card PDF copy, SBI Bank Account, Reserved Category Document, Caste Certificate, Caste Validity, Non-Creamy Layer Certificate & Aadhaar Card.
Question 5: What if I fail to accept the admission offer till the last prescribed date?
Answer: A candidate, who fails to accept an offer of admission to any of the courses, made by the Institute, for whatever reasons, forfeits his/her claim for admission for that academic year.
