The institute conducts ISTC CSIO entrance exam to provide admission to almost 108 candidates in 3-year diploma programme in instrument technology and advanced diploma in Mechatronics and Industrial automation at CSIO –ISTC Chandigarh.

Indo-Swis Entrance exam Eligibility criteria:

Interested applicants must have appeared or pursuing in Matriculation examination with Mathematics, Science and English as major subjects from the State Board or Central Board or ICSE/National Open Schools

Candidates who born on or after 1st September 1995 (1st September 1992 in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) are eligible to apply for Indo Swiss Entrance Exam.

Indo Swiss Entrance Exam Syllabus

The test will comprise of questions from:

  • Science
  • Mathematics
  • Aptitude
  • English and General Knowledge

The Indo Swiss Entrance Exam will comprise of objective type multiple choice types of questions (MCQs) to be answered in OMR sheets. There will be also negative marking of the tune of 1/4 marks for each wrong response given by candidates.

Aspiring candidates can apply for ISCT Entrance Exam through Online mode only. Thus, in order to get application form and information brochure candidates have to visit the official website of authority i.e. www.csio.res.in

ISTC Entrance Fee

Candidates have to pay Rs.1000 as application fee for General and OBC category and Rs.500 for candidates belonging to SC/ST category.

ISTC Selection Process

The final merit list of selected candidates will be made on the basis of candidate’s performance and marks obtained in ISTC entrance exam. The cut off marks in Indo Swiss entrance exam for the enrollment are 35% for General category and 20% for reserved categories (OBC/SC/ST/PH). The candidates in order of merit will be invited for counseling process through registered post. Shortlisted candidates must satisfy themselves completely about the eligibility conditions of admission.
