IARI Admission 2023: Application Form, Exam Date, Eligibility

The Indian Agricultural Research Institute offers the candidates admission into its undergraduate and postgraduate courses on the basis of an entrance exam. The entrance exam is conducted by the NTA and those who clear the exam is considered for admission. Application forms will be released through online mode tentatively in the month of March 2023. Before applying, the candidates are suggested to ensure their eligibility for the admission. Detailed information regarding the IARI Admission 2023 is provided in this article.

IARI Admission 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for undergraduate and postgraduate programs offered at IARI are given below:

For UG courses:

Age limit:

• Age of the candidates should be at least 16 years on 31st August 2023.

Academic qualification:

The candidates need to clear their class 12th exam with subjects as given below and a minimum aggregate of 50% marks (40% for SC/ ST/ PWD/ Transgender candidates).

For PG courses:

Academic qualification:

Candidates who have completed their B.Sc degree program with specialization in the concerned subject are eligible.

IARI Admission Application Form 2023

The IARI admission application form 2023 will be released in online mode on the official website of NTA www.icar.nta.nic.in. Those who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria can proceed with the submission of their application form.

• At first, the candidates need to fill a registration form providing their name, email id and mobile number.
• A registration number and password will be generated after successful registration and sent to the registered email address and phone number.
• Using these credentials, the candidates can login to their account and start filling the application form.
• Candidates will be asked to provide their rest personal details, academic details, etc into the application form.
• Scanned copies of candidates’ photograph and signature should also be uploaded into the application form.
• Once all the details are provided, the candidates can submit the application form online.
• A printout of the submitted application form should be taken by the candidates and kept safe for future reference.

IARI Entrance Exam Pattern 2023

The basic overview of the IARI AIEEA 2023 exam pattern is provided below:

For UG courses:

• Mode of exam: Online mode
• Duration of exam: 2 hour 30 minutes
• Number of questions: 150
• Type of questions: Objective type
• Language paper language: Hindi and English
• Total marks: 600
• Marking scheme: 4 marks will be given for each right answer.
• Negative marking: 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

*Candidates have to choose any three subjects among Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Agriculture.

For PG courses:

• Mode of exam: Online mode
• Duration of exam: 2 hours
• Number of questions: 120
• Type of questions: Objective type
• Language paper language: English
• Total marks: 480
• Marking scheme: 4 marks will be given for each right answer.

IARI Exam 2023 Admit Card

• Candidates will be able to download their admit card for IARI AIEEA by visiting the official website of NTA.
• A printout of the admit card should be taken and carried to the exam center along with other documents.
• The candidates should report for the exam as per the time and center mentioned in their admit card.
• It is advised that the candidates read the instructions on the admit card carefully and follow them during the conduct of the exam.
• Candidates must note that no admit card will be sent to them through post or courier.

IARI Admission 2023 Result

• Result of the entrance exam will be declared online around two weeks after the commencement of the exam.
• Candidates will be able to check their result from the official website of NTA using their roll number.
• A merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in the admission test.
• Counseling and rest other process of admission will be carried out as per the names of the candidates in the merit list.

FAQs

Question 1: What documents do I need to carry while reporting to the exam center?

Candidates must bring the following documents on the day of exam at the test centre:

• Admit card
• One passport size photograph (same as uploaded on the application form)
• Any photo IDs (original, valid and non-expired), viz. PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/ Aadhaar Enrolment No/ Ration Card
• PWD certificate issued by the Competent Authority, for PWD candidates
• Marriage Certificate/ Divorce/ Decree/ Legal Name Change Document in case of change in name

Is it possible to ask for a change in the exam center mentioned in my admit card?

Any request to change the examination centre, date, shift and subject provided on the admit card will not be considered under any circumstances.

Can I make any changes in my duly submitted application form?

A correction window will be provided by the National Testing Agency to make changes in the application form already submitted.

Does the NTA conduct the counseling for IARI admission?

No. The complete counseling and rest admission will be carried out by ICAR and details regarding the same will also be made available on the ICAR website.

If I am not satisfied with my result, can I ask for re-evaluation?

No representation for re-evaluation/ of answer scripts shall be entertained after result declaration. However, the candidates will be given opportunity to evaluate their recorded responses and challenge discrepancies before finalizing final answer key and result declaration.
