ILICAT Admission Procedure 2021

Aspirants, who are appearing in ILICAT, they must be aware of its admission procedure. The post describes here step by step procedure for law admission through ILICAT exam 2021. To become the part of Indian Law Institute admission procedure candidates must apply for the same before the notified deadline.

Procedure Involved

Step 1: Apply for ILICAT

I’d like to inform all aspirants that ILICAT application form 2021 will be available from the first week of May 2021. Candidates need to apply with genuine information according to the deadline notified by the exam conducting authority.

Step 2: Obtain the Admit Card

Once your application will be accepted by the exam conducting authority then you can download your admit card from the official website. Candidates must obtain their admit card as without this they won’t be allowed to attend the exam.

Step 3: Appear in Entrance Test

ILICAT is going to be held at Delhi only. Candidates will get only multiple-choice questions in the paper. The exam will be of 2 hours duration.

Step 4: Appear in a Legal Written Test

Along with appearing in the entrance test, candidates are also required to appear in a legal entrance test where legal writing skill of candidate will be verified.

Step 5: Next Step is appearing in Viva-Voce Conducted at Indian Law Institute

Candidates who are shortlisted after giving ILICAT they need to appear in Viva-voce which will be conducted at the Indian Law Institute only. Names of shortlisted candidates for viva-voce will be uploaded at the official website of the institute.

Step 6: Check Your Result

At the last, candidates can check their result by accessing the official website of exam conducting authority.

Admission Procedure

For PhD in Law

Candidates willing to get admission into PhD in law can submit their application through online mode.

In order to access the online application, candidates have to visit the official website of institute i.e. www.ili.ac.in. Fill up the form carefully without committing any sort of mistakes. If you want online or telephonic support then follow the helpline details mentioned there.

The prescribed amount for the application fee is Rs.3000/-. It can be paid using debit card/credit card/internet banking/wallet etc.

  • All UGC NET/JRF, SLET, and M.Phil qualified candidates are exempted from appearing in the test.
  • There will be a written test conducted of three hours duration for students who have not qualified UGC NET/JRF, SLET & M.Phil. The exam will comprise of two papers.
  • All qualified candidates are recommended to create a presentation before the admission committee on a given topic of research.

For LLM Course

  • Candidates need to apply online if they are willing to get admission into 1 year LLM programme.
  • Please visit the institute website www.ili.ac.in and fill up the prescribed application form. All the provided information should be genuine and correct.
  • Candidates have to make the payment of Rs.2500/-+applicable service charges using credit card/debit card/net banking/wallet.
  • The admission test for LLM programme is conducted on all India level. Shortlisted candidates will be further invited to attend the Viva-voce.
