IIST Admission 2022 Exam Pattern
The IIST Ph.D exam pattern 2022 is given below:

IIST Admission Eligibility Criteria 2022
The eligibility criteria for IIST Admission 2022 are given below:
For UG courses:
- Only the candidates of Indian nationality are eligible to apply.
- The candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1997 (for general/ OBC candidates) and on or after October 1, 1992 (for SC/ ST/ PD candidates).
- The applicants should pass their class 12th or equivalent exam with 75% marks in aggregate (65% for SC/ ST/ PD candidates).
For PG courses:
- Only the candidates of Indian nationality are eligible to apply.
- The age of the candidates as on 30.04.2022 should not be more than 32 years.
- The candidates should have done E/ B.Tech/ M.Sc or equivalent degree with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA 6.5 out of 10 (for General/ OBC category) and minimum 55% marks or CGPA 6.0 out of 10 (for SC/ ST/ PD category). A valid score in GATE/ JEST/ UGC NET in relevant area as the case may be, is essential.
For Ph.D courses:
- A master’s degree in the relevant branch with at least 65% marks or 7.00 CGPA or equivalent for general candidates, 60% or 6.50 CGPA for OBC candidates and 55% marks or 6.00 CGPA for SC/ ST/ PD candidates is required.
- Applicant should be below 35 years as on May 08, 2022.
- Applicant should be an Indian citizen.
IIST Admission 2022 Application Form
The candidates can apply online for IIST Admission 2022. The application form will be released on the official website of IIST admission.iist.ac.in. The applications for different degree programmes (UG, PG, and Ph.D) will be released separately as per the specified schedule. The candidates will have to fill the application form providing the details of their name, address, date of birth, email id, contact number, gender, qualifying exam, etc. The applicants will not be allowed to make any changes in the application once submitted. Hence utmost care should be taken by the applicants while filling the form. After providing all the information accurately into the application form, the candidates can submit it along with the required application fee. A printout of the duly-filled and submitted application form must be taken out and kept safe for future use.

IIST Admission Admit Card 2022
The admit card for Ph.D screening test will be released on the official website of IIST. The candidates need to download the IIST Admission 2022 admit card and take its printout to be carried to the exam center. The schedule of the screening test will be mentioned on the admit card and the candidates must appear for the exam as per the schedule. The applicants who do not carry a valid admit card will not be allowed to sit in the exam.
IIST Admission Result 2022
The IIST Admission 2022 result for Ph.D screening test will be published on the official institute website. A merit list of the qualified candidates will be prepared and they will have to appear for the interview round. For UG and PG admissions, the merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks secured by the candidates in the qualifying exam. For postgraduate courses also, the candidates will have to appear for the interview round. The final result will be released on the basis of candidates’ performance in the interview round.
IIST Admission 2022 Counseling
A final list of the provisionally selected candidates will be released and the candidates will be considered for admissions on the basis of this list. At the time of counseling, the candidates applying for UG course will be allowed to provide choice for the branch in which they wish to get admitted. Depending on the ranking of the candidates and the choice made by them, the candidates will be allotted a seat in the institute.
