IISER Bhopal PhD Admission 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The following eligibility criteria should be fulfilled by the candidates applying for IISER Bhopal PhD Admission 2022:

Age limit:

• Age of the applying candidates should not be more than 28 years.
• Age relaxation of 3 years will be given for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and 5 years for SC/ ST/ PD/ Female applicants.

Educational qualification:

For PhD programme:

• Students should have M.Sc/ M.Tech degree with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent. Under special circumstances, exceptionally bright students with B.Tech/ BE/ BS (4 year) degree are also considered for admission.
• Students should have also qualified a national level entrance test such as: GATE/ NET/ DBT/ JEST/ ICMAR or any other national level examination.

For PhD lateral entry:

• Students who have completed four years of BS-MS (Dual Degree) programme at IISER Bhopal with an aggregate CPI of more than 8 at the end of eighth semester and a CPI of over 8 in their Major subject, i.e., Biological Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Mathematics and Physics, at the end of the eighth semester will be eligible to apply for lateral admission to the PhD program.
• In addition to the above, individual Departments may impose additional requirements (e.g., minimum grade that should be obtained in professional courses of that particular discipline chosen by the concerned student) as well.

Application form for the IISER Bhopal PhD Admission 2022 will be released through online mode on the official website of the institute www.iiserb.ac.in. It is advised that the candidates complete the application process before the last prescribed date in order to be considered for admissions.
