Candidates can take admission in the IGNOU’s SOH to pursue the courses viz., ‘Certificate in Teaching of English as a Second Language (CTE), Certificate in Urdu Language (CUL) and Certificate Programme in Functional English (Basic Level) (CFE).

• Certificate Programme in Functional English (Basic Level) (CFE)seeks to augment the English expertise of the students to help them communicate or converse with confidence.
• Certificate in Urdu Language (CUL)is intended for Urdu and Hindi speakers who wish to learn how to read, write and correctly speak the Urdu language.
• Certificate in Teaching of English as a Second Language (CTE) is envisioned to improve the teachers understanding of learners, the process of learning, the nature and structure of language and the teaching of it in terms of new and more effective methodologies of classroom management, material selection and evaluation.

Fee Details

The fee details of the Certificate Courses have been given in the following points:

• Candidates will be required to pay the admission fee along with the course fee to complete the admission process.
• Candidates can pay the admission fee via Demand Draft (DD).
• The Demand Draft must be drawn in favour of IGNOU payable at the IGNOU’s Regional Centre.

How to apply for Admission?

• All the eligible candidates need to fill the application/admission form.
• The application form caneither be filled or submitted through the online mode or through the offline mode.
• Candidates need to fill all the required details in the application form as asked.
• The online application form will be available on the official website of IGNOU.
• Candidates can get the hard copy of the application form to be submitted offline from the regional IGNOU centre.
• Candidates need to submit the duly filled application form either through the online mode or through the offline mode at the respective regional centre of IGNOU.
