Eligibility Criteria for IGNOU Admission

Candidates must satisfy the prescribed eligibility criteria before filling the admission application form. The important eligibility conditions are as follows:

• Candidates seeking admission to BCA course must have passed 12th or equivalent examination.
• For admission to MCA courses, applicants should have done bachelor degree of minimum 3 years from any recognized university and must have cleared 12th or graduation level with mathematics subject.
• There is no age limit for BCA and MCA programme admission.
• Eligibility criteria for different academic programmes will be determined by the university.

Interested and eligible candidates can obtain the IGNOU 2023 admission application form via online or offline mode. IGNOU application process for management and distance courses and all others programs has started. Candidates, who choose offline mode for application, are needed to submit the form in the nearby regional center.

Application fee

Aspirants have to pay Rs. 200 as required application fee. The payment of fee can be made through debit card/credit card and Net banking. Applicants, who want to apply through offline mode, can purchase the brochure from the regional centre in person for Rs. 200/- or via post by sending Demand Draft of Rs. 250/- in favor of IGNOU, New Delhi.

Important Instructions to Apply for IGNOU Admission

• In case you are applying for IGNOU admission for the first time then I strongly advise you to click the available programme tab on the home page of the official website of IGNOU.
• Candidates should also read the instruction furnished on IGNOU admission common prospectus.
• First of all, you will have to complete the registration process in order to create your username and password.
• Your password should be alphanumeric and in between 8 to 16 characters long.
• Once you fill up all necessary details then you need to click the submit button. Soon after clicking the submit button your username will be sent to you through email and SMS.
• Please keep your username and password safe for future login.
• You need to have scanned copy of- Photograph (less than 100 KB); Signature (less than 100 KB); age proof; educational qualification certificate (less than 400 KB); experience certificate, if any (less than 400 KB); category certificate (less than 400 KB);BPL certificate (less than 400 KB);
• For the fee payment, keep the details of debit card, credit card and internet banking with you.

Applicants keep ready with the required documents/details, before start filling up IGNOU 2023 Application form:

Applicants should follow the below steps to apply for IGNOU Online Admission form:

1. Open Official website:

At first, candidates should open the official website. Click on “Register Yourself” link. After that they have to fill their basic details in the IGNOU 2023 Registration form. Once you’ve entered all mandatory fields, click on the “Submit” button.

2. Login again:

Candidates are needed to enter their unique ‘User Name’ or ‘Password’ and then click on the “Login” button. Fill all the important details that asked in application form such as personal details, qualification details, course details, programme details, and correspondence details.

3. Upload Scanned Documents/testaments

Applicants have to upload the scanned documents/certificates that are mentioned above in a JPEG Format. Once applicants have uploaded the scanned documents, then click on the “NEXT” button. Review your form. Take the printout of the IGNOU application form and keep this safe with you for further reference.

4. Fee Payment

Applicants have to submit the necessary application fee to complete the online application procedure. The payment of fee can be done through Debit Card/ Credit Card/Net Banking.
