ICMR JRF 2021: Application Form, Eligibility Criteria, Exam Pattern

ICMR JRF 2021 application form has been released on 1st July 2021: The ‘Junior Research Fellowship’ (JRF) exam is organized in Life Science/Social Science by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi which is also associated with the ‘Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research’ (PGIMER), Chandigarh. To find the eligible candidates, who seek for admission for the JRF programme, a national level entrance examination is commenced by the institutes as mentioned above which will be held at different examination centres such as Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Bhopal, Hyderabad, Varanasi, Bhubaneswar, Srinagar Guwahati.

There are 150 scholarships which will be awarded to the candidates after they qualify the JRF scholarship exam 2021. Candidates will be eligible to take admission in the Medical College/Hospital/University/National Laboratory/Institution of Higher Learning and Research to pursue the PhD/ Research Programme in the field of Biomedical Sciences with emphasis on Life Sciences such as Microbiology, Physiology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Human Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Biophysics, Immunology, Pharmacology, Zoology, Botany, Environmental Sciences and Veterinary Sciences etc.

ICMR JRF Eligibility Criteria 2021

• All Indian citizens will be eligible to apply for the ICMR JRF 2021.
• Moreover, they must have a Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science or Post Graduate level Professional Degree in the relevant stream.
• The upper age limit to apply for the ICMR JRF 2021 is 28 years.
• Applicants, who belong to the reserved category such as SC and ST, will be given age relaxation of 5 years.
• Candidates, who are physically handicapped, will also be given age relaxation of minimum 5 years.
• The candidates of OBC category will be given 3 years age relaxation in the upper age.

• The official notification for the ICMR JRF Application Form 2021 will be published on the official website of both institutes which are PGIMER, Chandigarhand ICMR, New Delhi.
• The ICMR JRF Application Form 2021 will be released on the official website of the institutes which are ‘http://pgimer.edu.in’ and ‘icmr.nic.in’.
• The application forms will not available offline as the institutes will accept only the online application form which is submitted through the official websites.
• Candidates will be required to fill all the details in the application form before they submit the application form.
• The details will be of the educational qualifications, name, and date of birth, age and the contact information for the reference.
• The contact information will include the address, valid email ID and the mobile/telephone number.

ICMR JRF Admit Card 2021

• The ICMR JRF Admit Card 2021 will be released on the official websites of the institutes (PGIMER and ICMR).
• The admit card will be available two weeks ago the JRF exam is commenced.
• The ICMR admit card will be in the pdf format which will have the details of the date, timing and the reporting time of the exam along with the exam centre.
• Candidates will be required to download the admit card and bring the same with them at the assigned exam centre.
