The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India conducts entrance exams at different levels of the Chartered Accountancy course. These are: Foundation Examinations (earlier known as Common Proficiency Test (CPT)) that has been changed according to ICAI revised scheme), Intermediate (Integrated Professional Competence (IPC)) Examination and Final Examination. The exams are held twice a year in the month of May and November and the candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria can apply for the exams. ICAI 2023 Application Form
The application form for the ICAI exam 2023 will be released on the official website in online mode. The candidates who wish to appear for the different levels of ICAI exam will have to submit their applications first. In the application form, the candidates will have to provide the basic details such as name, mobile number, phone number, date of birth, etc. After providing all the information asked in the application form, the candidates can make final form submission. The applicants will also have to make payment of the required application fee.
For foundation course:

ICAI 2023 Eligibility Criteria
The following are the eligibility criteria for different levels of ICAI 2023 exam:
For foundation course:
- The candidates should have qualified the senior secondary (10+2) examination conducted by an examining body constituted by law in India or an examination recognized by the Central Government as equivalent thereto.
- A student should register themselves for the foundation course and should undergo a minimum of four months study period before appearing for the Foundation Examination. Students registered on or before 30th June/ 31st December will be eligible to appear in November/ May examination respectively.
For intermediate course:
- Candidates, who have registered through Foundation Course route or Intermediate level examination passed students of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India or The Institute of Company Secretaries of India, are required to undergo 8 months study course before appearing for the Intermediate Examination (first time).
- Commerce Graduates/ Post Graduates having secured a minimum aggregate of 55% marks or equivalent grade (60% for other Graduates/ Post Graduates) in the examination conducted by any recognized University are exempted from Foundation course and are eligible for direct registration to Intermediate course. They are eligible to appear in the Intermediate Examination after completion of 9 months of practical training.
For final course:
- Students after qualifying both the groups of Intermediate Examination are eligible to register for Final course and would be allowed to appear in Final Examination during last six months of practical training. The candidates should also have completed 4 weeks Advanced Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (AICITSS).

ICAI Admit Card 2023
ICAI 2023 admit card of all the eligible candidates admitted to the Foundation, Intermediate (IPC) and Final examination will be hosted on icaiexam.icai.org. The admit card will contain the photographs and signatures of the candidates. The candidates will be able to download their admit card by using their login credentials (registration number and password). The candidate must check the details on the admit card and if any discrepancy is found, he/ she must contact the Helpline numbers immediately.
ICAI 2023 Result
The result of ICAI 2023 exam will be declared on the official website and the candidates will be able to check it using their roll number or registration number. The candidates will also be able to download their marks statement from the official website. The result for all the 3 levels of exam will be declared separately as per the specific schedule.
