Haryana Engineering Entrance Exams 2022
There are two typical ways through which a candidate can apply for engineering programmes offered by different colleges in the states-
Many prestigious institutions like NITs, IIITs, CFITs and several other state-level colleges across India consider the JEE main scores for admission into B.tech programmes.
Candidates aspiring to get admission in engineering college through lateral entry in 3rd semester will need to give LEET entrance exam. Aspirants can avail the application form in the last week of April 2022.
Note: Apart from these two ways, some colleges/universities either conduct their own entrance exam or opt for the direct way for admission into various disciplines of engineering in the state.
Selection Procedure/Counselling
Selection through JEE Main
In order to get admission into the institutions such as NITs, IIITs, CFITs and several other state-level colleges in Haryana, a candidate needs to qualify JEE main. However, admissions to IIT is provided only after qualifying the JEE Advanced exam. The candidates who successfully qualify the JEE Main will be eligible for JEE Advanced. Following that, a counselling will be organized for allotting seats into different Engineering disciplines.
Selection through LEET
Candidates seeking admission into engineering courses provided by different colleges in Haryana will need to qualify LEET. Admissions are provided to the course on the basis of the inter-se-rank obtained in OLET (Online Lateral Entry Test). Following the exam, a counselling will be conducted for students who will have to register themselves for it. After registration, candidates will appear for the counselling and will be allotted a seat as per his/her preference of branch and college in the state. The seat allotment will be based on the number of seats available for a course; the rank obtained by a candidate and his/her preference for college and branch respectively.
