Introduction

Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University is an educational set up which is part of Punjab Agricultural University. The University was established to aid in livestock reproduction, health and prevention of diseases via integrated teaching and extension programs. The ultimate intention of the University to produce Veterinary graduates, scientists and extension workers that aid in promotion of livestock health, augments production, alleviating quality of rural life and reproduction of livestock.

Admission Criteria

Each year the University conducts an entrance exam in the name of GADVASU CET. It is the Common Entrance Test that is conducted for granting admission to students to various courses at different levels as in Graduate, Post Graduate and Diploma level.

The admission to graduate and Post-Graduate level is made at the beginning of First semester whereas in case of Doctorate course, the admission is made at the start of Second semester.

Campus and Facilities

Along with a campus facility spreading over huge acres of land the University also has a hospital that effectively caters to all big and small demands of animal health, treatment of livestock patients and undertakes clinical training of students. In addition, students also provide daily and poultry farms in sync with latest research and teaching methodologies.
