The Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU) of Baroda, Vadodara is the respective authority which organizes the Gujarat State Eligibility Test (GSET) every year. GSET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must satisfy the important eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. The details of eligibility criteria are as follows:

Nationality: The applicants should be an Indian citizen.

Age Limit: There will be no upper age limit.

Educational Qualification:

• Only those applicants will be considered eligible to appear in the GSET 2022 exam, who have completed/are appearing in the final year of a UGC specified Master’s degree.
• General/unreserved/General-EWS candidates should secure minimum 50% marks in Master’s Degree or its equivalent exam in Sciences, Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science & Applications. This criterion is 50% for Non-Creamy Layer /SC / ST/ PwD (PH – Physically Handicapped / VH – Visually Handicapped) / Third Gender category candidates.
• PhD degree holders who have completed their Master’s by 19 September 1991 can claim 5% relaxation in aggregate marks (means from 55% to 50%).

GSET 2022 Application Form: How to apply?

GSET 2022 Application Form may be available from 2nd week of April 2022. Candidates can obtain the application form online from the official website of conducting body. Aspirants can check the below steps to know about application process of GSET 2022.

• First of all, visit the official website of conducting body for applying.
• Candidates should register online for GSET Exam instantly after downloading the computerized bank chalan payment of the fee in the bank.
• Except online no other means/ mode of application will be entertained.
• The candidates will have to pay the necessary application fees through e-challan and must generate the Computerized Bank Challan to pay the exam fee.
• After successful submission of application fee, candidates will have to Re- login with their unique registration number and password for completing the remaining application process.
• Fill all the required details in the application form correctly and carefully. No correction will be allowed after submission of the form.
• Upload the scanned image of photograph and signature as per given specifications.
• After successful submission and confirmation, the applicant should take a printout of filled online Application Form for future use.

Examination Fee

• General / General-EWS / SEBC Non-creamy layer) Candidates– Rs. 900/-  + Bank Charges
• SC / ST / Transgender Candidates– Rs. 700/-  + Bank Charges
• PWD(PH/VH) Candidates– Rs. 100/-  + Bank Charges
  

Mode of Payment– One can pay the examination fee using a valid credit card, debit card, and internet banking.

GSET 2022 Exam Centres

GSET 2022 Admit card

GSET 2022 Admit Card will be available to the eligible candidates who successfully registered probably from 1^st week of June 2022. The applicants can obtain the admit card online from the official website of authority.

To download the admit card, candidates have to enter important details like registration number /DOB. Take the print out of downloaded admit card and bring the same while appearing on the exam center on the day of exam.

GSET 2022 Exam Pattern

• No. of papers- Two papers
• Type of questions- Objective type questions
• Paper 1 (No. of questions)- 50 questions
• Paper 2(No. of questions)- 100 questions
• Negative Marking- No
• Exam duration- 3 hours

Paper-I- It has 50 objective type questions with 2 marks each. All questions are compulsory to be answered. The paper 1 focuses on assessing the teaching and research aptitude of a candidate. It has been designed to test comprehension, reasoning ability, general awareness, and divergent thinking of a candidate.

Paper 2- It comprises of 100 objective type questions with 2 marks for each. All 100 questions would be based on the subject selected by the candidate.

The question paper will be available in both languages- English and Gujarati. Candidates are required to mark their response on the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) Sheet provided.

GSET 2022 Syllabus

GSET 2022 syllabus would be similar to UGC/CSIR NET syllabus. The syllabus of Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences, & Earth Sciences are similar to CSIR NET syllabus and for rest of the subjects, it is similar to UGC NET syllabus.

The declaration of result will be made available online as per the specified time. Candidates can check and download their result online through visiting the official website of authority.

There will be no provision for re-evaluations of papers and hence no such requests will be considered by the authority under any circumstances.
