GITAM University will be conducting Science Admission Test, more commonly known as GSAT. Qualifying GSAT 2021 will enroll the candidates to BCA, B.Sc, MCA, M.Sc, Integrated M.Sc and BEM programmes. You can apply for any of these courses as per your interest. The application form for these courses will soon be released by the GITAM University. any other details of the GSAT 2021 will be provided to you by the university.

GSAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria
The course wise eligibility criteria for the GSAT 2021 are given in detail here:
For BEM, 5-year Integrated M.Sc and BCA:
- A minimum aggregate of 50% marks in science subjects in the Higher Secondary examination
- Candidates appearing in the exam in the year 2021 are also eligible
For Bachelor of Science (Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Computer Science/Electronics):
- Candidates must secure at least 50% in their 10+2 exam, with Physics, Chemistry and mathematics as compulsory subjects.
For M.Sc. Applied Mathematics:
- Applicants must hold B.Sc degree with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
- The candidate should have passed Intermediate/10+2 with Mathematics and Physical science, from a recognized institution.
For M.Sc. Physics:
- Applicants must hold B.Sc degree with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
For M.Sc. Electronics Science:
- The candidate must hold B.Sc degree with Mathematics and Physics/Electronics as compulsory subjects.
For M.Sc. Chemistry (Analytical/Organic/Pharmaceutical):
- Applicants must have completed their B.Sc degree with Chemistry as a compulsory subject.
For M.Sc. Life Sciences Program (Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Food Science and Technology):
- A B.Sc degree in Life Sciences/Chemistry/B.A. Home Science/B.Tech./B.Pharm/BPT/MLT is a must.
For M.Sc. Bioinformatics:
- The applicant should have a B.Sc degree in Life Sciences/Chemistry/B.A. Home Science/B.Tech./B.Pharm/BPT/MLT.
- Those who have a B.Sc degree with Mathematics, Physics or Computer Science as their main subjects are also eligible for GSAT 2021.
For M.Sc. Environmental Science:
- The candidates who hold BEM degree will be preferred for this course.
- Candidates with B.Sc in Life Sciences/Physical Sciences/B.Tech/B.Pharma will be eligible if there will be any vacant seats available.
For Master of Computer Applications (MCA):
- The applicant needs to have any recognized degree with Mathematics at 10+2 level or degree level or equivalent.
GSAT 2021 Application Form
The applicants who fulfill the eligibility criteria can fill up the application form for the course of their choice. The application form can be obtained either through the website or by post.
- Through official website:
The application form for GSAT 2021 can be downloaded from the official website of the university, gitam.edu.in. The filled application form can be submitted online along with the attested copies of the relevant document and an application fee of Rs 500/-. The online fee payment can be done through net banking/debit card/credit card.
- By Post:
By sending a request for the application form to the Principal, GITAM Institute of Science, the form can be obtained through the post. You need to mention your name and mailing address in the request paper, and along with a demand draft of Rs 550/-, in favor of GITAM University, Vishakhapatnam, the request should be send to the Principal, GITAM Institute of Science, GITAM (Deemed to be University), Rushikonda, Vishakhapatnam-530045, AP, India. Don’t forget to attach the attested copy of important documents.
Note: The application fee for Integrated M.Sc Chemistry, sponsored by Laurus Labs will be Rs 600/-. The candidates who wish to appear in more than one test are required to submit an additional charge of Rs 500/-, each test.

- SSC certificate for date of birth
- Intermediate/HSC certificate for UG programs
- Degree/Provisional certificate for PG courses
- Caste certificate (if applicable)
- Medical certificate for PWD candidates

GSAT 2021 Examination Pattern
GSAT 2021 will be a pen-and-paper based. The total number of questions asked in the paper will be 60 and the duration of the paper will be 1 hour. One mark will be awarded for each correct answer and there will be no negative marking.
GSAT 2021 Admit Card
Same as the application form, GSAT 2021 admit card can be availed both online and offline. The admit card can be downloaded from the university’s website and will also be sent to the students via post. Those who do not receive their admit card are supposed to inform the Principal, GITAM Institute of Science, two days prior to the commencement of exam. The admit card will contain the details of the candidate and the venue of the examination which will be in any of the following cities:
Anantapur, Bhimavaram, Bengaluru, Berhampur, Bhubneshwar, Dhanbad, Guwahati Eluru, Guntur, Hyderabad, Jamshedpur, Kadapa, Kakinada, Khammam, Kolkata, Kurnool, Nagpur, Ongole, Patna, Pune, Rajahmundry, Raipur, Rayagada, Siliguri, Srikakulam, Tirupathi, Vijayawada, Vishakhapatnam, Varanasi and Warangal
GSAT 2021 Results
The results of the GSAT 2021 will be announced a few weeks after the examination. The qualified candidates will be informed about their marks through mail or SMS. The result will also be declared on the official website of the GITAM University. The selected candidates will then be called for counseling as per the merit list.
