Eligibility Criteria

• Candidate should hold a graduation degree in respected streams like commerce, arts, and Science from any recognized institute or college of India.
• Candidates pursuing in the final year or last semester of qualifying examination can also apply for the admission.

Reservation Criteria

22% seats will be reserved for SC, 6% seats are kept for ST, and 10% for OBC Category and 3% seats are kept for Physically Handicapped/Challenged as per West Bengal.

Gour Banga University PG 2024 Application form: How to apply?

Interested and eligible candidate can apply for Gour Banga university PG admission through online. Applications are to be made online at http://www.ugb.ac.in/ from July 2024 tentatively. Candidates should fill the online application with all required details carefully. On the successful submission of the application form, a Challan will be generated.

Candidate has to take the printout of the challan and the payment should be made in cash at any Branch of United Bank of India.  After paying the fees candidate will have to submit the University copy of Bank Challan to the University Office for confirmation of the provisional admission. If the confirmation is not done on the same day, the admission may be cancelled.

Application fee

They have to pay an application fee of 400/+ Rs 46 bank charges (for General Category) and Rs 150 + Rs 46 bank charges for the candidates from SC or ST category.

Admit Card

The Gour Banga University PG admit card will be made available online a week before the entrance exam. The admit card will bear important details such as candidate name &roll number, exam date and time, venue for examination hall and other important instruction related examination.

Candidates are recommended to bring their admit card while coming for the examination hall. Without a valid admit card, the entrance of candidates will be banned.

Result

The result for Gour Banga university PG admission test will be announced online most probably in the month of August 2024. Candidates can check and download their result by entering their unique roll no/registration number and date of birth in the fields available at the result web page.

Selection Process

Selection of candidates will be based on the result of Admission test conducted by the university for PG admissions. Shortlisted candidates will be called for the counselling rounds through which they will be offered admission.

The provisionally selected candidates of PG admissions have to be reported with original mark sheets and age proof document and other relevant certificates viz.SC/ PWD/ ST/OBC/NSS certificates.

Counselling

University will invite selected candidates for counseling round as per the merit. Candidates have to appear at counseling venue 30 minutes before the starting of counseling with required Certificates, Mark Sheets and testimonials for verification at the time of Counselling and admission.

They need to be present physically for proper document verification and seat allotment in counseling round.
