GMCH Chandigarh Admission 2021: Application Form, Admission process, Result, Counselling

GMCH Chandigarh admission 2021: Government Medical College Hospital, Chandigarh  (GMCH) will invites applications from eligible candidates for admission into Pre Hospital trauma technician (PTT), Bachelor of Clinical Optometry (B.Optom), B.Sc Medical Technology (X-Ray), B.Sc (Medical Laboratory Technology) and B.Sc Medical Technology (Anaesthesia Operation Theatre Techniques) through GMCH Combined Entrance Test (GCET-2021).

Eligibility Criteria

For Pre Hospital trauma technician (PTT) course – 9 months certificate course

Applicants who have any of the following qualifications will be eligible to apply for admission in the Pre-Hospital Trauma Technician course:

  • The candidate who have qualified 10+2 examination in Science group with aggregate of 45% (40% marks for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC)) with Physics, Biology, Chemistry and English as major subjects from a recognized Council/ Board/University.
  • The age of the candidate should be between 17-25 years as on the month of the admission year.

For Bachelor of Clinical Optometry (B.Optom)

Candidate having any of the below qualification will be eligible to apply for this course

  • The applicant, who has done 10+2 examination with minimum aggregate of 45% (40% marks for candidates from Scheduled Castes (SC) with Physics, Biology, Chemistry and English as major subjects from a recognized Council/ Board/University.
  • The candidate who have qualified 10+2 Vocational Course (Ophthalmic Technique) with a minimum aggregate of 45% (40% marks for candidates from Scheduled Castes (SC) in their relevant elective subjects and English from a recognized Council / Board/ University.
  • A candidate who have done Part –I of B.Sc medical with aggregate of 45% marks (40% marks for candidates from Scheduled Castes (SC) from any institution recognized by Panjab University are also eligible to apply.
  • Candidate having a diploma in Ophthalmic Techniques with aggregate of 45% marks (40% marks for candidates from Scheduled Castes (SC) from any recognized Board/Council/University provided they done diploma course after passing 10+2 exam with physics, chemistry and biology as subject.

For B.Sc Medical Technology (X-Ray)

Candidate possessing one of the below qualifications will be eligible to apply for this course

  • Candidates who have done 10+2 examination in Medical group in the subjects of Chemistry, Physics, Biology and English with aggregate of minimum 45% marks (40% marks for Scheduled Castes) from a recognized Council/ Board/University.
  • Candidates who qualified 10+2 vocational course (X-Ray Techniques) in all the vocational course subjects of Radiography-I General, Radiation Physics, Biology, Radiography-II Special and English with aggregate of 45% marks (40% marks for Scheduled Castes) from a recognized Council/ Board/University.
  • Candidates who has done Part –I of B.Sc Medical with aggregate of 45% marks (40% marks for Scheduled Castes) from any college/institute recognized by Panjab University.
  • Candidates having diploma in Radiography/X-ray Techniques with aggregate of 45% marks (40% marks for candidates from Scheduled Castes) from any recognized board are also be eligible to apply provided they joined diploma course after qualifying 10+2 examination with chemistry, physics and biology as subjects.

For B.Sc (Medical Laboratory Technology)

Eligibility is same as B.Sc Medical Technology (X-Ray)

For B.Sc Medical Technology (Anaesthesia Operation Theatre Techniques)

Candidates having diploma in Anaesthesia Operation Theatre Techniques with aggregate of 45% marks (40% marks for candidates from Scheduled Castes) from any recognized board are also be eligible to apply provided they joined diploma course after qualifying 10+2 examination with chemistry, physics and biology as subjects

Rest of the eligibility criteria is same as B.Sc Medical Technology (X-Ray)

GMCH Chandigarh admission 2021 Application Form: How to apply?

Application form of GMCH Chandigarh admission 2021 along with information booklet will be available online in the month of June. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online only, no printed form will be provided. Applicants have to fill in the application form with correct details and submit the same along with required application fee before the due date. Candidates are requested to take the printout of online application for future use.

For other categories- Rs 500/+bank charges if any

For SC Category- Rs 300/+bank charges if any

Exam pattern

  • The entrance exam will conduct in English language only.
  • Exam paper will comprise of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of 100 marks
  • Each right answer will be awarded 1 mark
  • There will be no negative marking in the entrance exam.

Admit card

Candidates, who have successfully done their registration, will be able to download the admit card/hall ticket online by visiting the official website i.e. www.gmch.gov.in

  2. Click on the GMCH Admit card 2021 available on the page
  3. Enter the details as per requirement
  4. Click submit button
  5. Shortly, admit card will be available on your system screen
  6. Download the same and take the printout for future use

Selection process

The selection of a candidate in the particular course will be made on the basis of rank or merit achieved in the GMCH Combined Entrance Test-2021 which will be organized by Government Medical College and Hospital, Chandigarh.  There will be no marks for counseling.

Result

Candidates who have successfully appeared in the GCET 2021 entrance exam can check their result online after the release of official notification.

  • Hit the submit button
  • After that, your result will be available on the screen of your computer
  • Download it and take the printout for further reference

Counselling

Shortlisted candidates have to appear in the counselling process in person as per the schedule. Candidates will be required to carry all important documents along with 2 passport port size photographs as prescribed. Seat allotment in preferred courses and verification of documents has been done in counseling.
