GCET 2023: Application Form, Exam Date, Syllabus

GCET 2023 stands for Gujarat Common Entrance Test 2023. This exam is conducted to choose the candidates for admission into engineering and pharmacy courses. Directorate of Technical Education is the authority responsible for conducting and managing this exam. It is an offline exam for which the application forms are expected to be released in offline mode only. The application process is going to begin soon. GCET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

All the candidates must ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria given below.

MBBS/ BDS/ BHMS/ BAMS & AHS

  • Aspirants must have passed class 12th or equivalent examination with English as a subject and a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Biology, and Chemistry subjects (40% for SC/ ST/ OBC and 45% for PWD candidates)

B.Sc. in Nursing

  • Those candidates who will clear the 10+2 or equivalent examination with English as a subject and a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Biology, and Chemistry subjects (40% for SC/ ST/ OBC and 45% for PWD candidates).

Bachelor of Engineering

  • The candidate must have passed the class 12th examination or equivalent with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science/ Biology with at least 45% marks in aggregate of these subjects. 40% for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates. Clearing English as a subject in class 12th is also necessary.

Bachelor of Pharmacy

  • Aspirants should have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science/ Biology with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate of these subjects (40% for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates). Passing the English subject in class 12th is also compulsory for such candidates.

  • Candidates must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent exam with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

GCET 2023 Application Form

The application process of GCET 2023 will take place in offline mode only. Candidates will be able to download the application form from the official website. All the necessary details regarding the application process are as follows.

  • First of all, candidates need to download the application form that will be available on the official website.
  • In the application form, aspirants have to provide their educational, personal, and contact details.
  • Apart from this, candidates need to paste their photograph on the application form and sign at the appropriate place.
  • Aspirants should make sure that they enter accurate details in the application form without making in mistake.
  • The duly filled application form must be submitted with a self-attested photocopy of 10th, 12th class certificate and other documents enclosed.
  • A copy of the application form should be kept safe by the candidates for future requirements.

Application Fee

  • The application fee for all candidates is the same i.e. Rs. 2000/-.
  • Please note that the application fee should be submitted at the time of submitting the application form.

GCET 2023 Admit Card

  • The admit card will be handed to the candidates at the time of submitting the application form.
  • An admit card consist of the information regarding the date, time, and venue of the examination.
  • No candidate will be permitted to enter the examination hall without an admit card.
  • The admit card will be kept safe and it should not be mutilated or torn.

  • Physics: Electromagnetic waves, Electrostatics, Waves, Optics, Communication systems, Atoms and Nuclei, etc.
  • Mathematics: Relations and functions, Algebra, Vectors and three dimensional geometry, probability, calculus, etc.
  • Chemistry: Solid State, Electrochemistry, Coordination Compounds, Haloalkanes And Haloarenes, Chemistry In Everyday Life, etc.

GCET 2023 Result

  • After conducting the exam, authorities will declare in the result tentatively in the month of May 2023.
  • In addition to the result, a merit list will also be published on the Notice Board at the Admission Centre at Directorate of Technical Education and on the official website.
  • The candidates who will appear for the exam should check the merit list and in case of an error should report immediately to the Chairman, Admission Committee, in writing.
  • After doing all the corrections, a final merit list will be released and candidates will be invited to the counselling process.

GCER 2023 Counselling

  • Candidates who will get their names in the merit list will then be invited to take part in the counselling process.
  • In the counselling process, candidates will be able to choose the college as per the merit
  • Selected candidates then need to visit the allotted institution within 3 working days and complete the rest of the admission process.
  • In case the aspirant fails to report to the colleges within stipulated time then his candidature will be cancelled.
