GBU GPTR Admission 2023: Candidates, who have completed their Master’s degree and are wishing to hold a doctorate (Ph.D.), can apply for ‘General Proficiency Test for Research’ (GPTR) conducted by the Gautam Buddha University (GBU). Interested and eligible candidates must submit their GPTR GBU application form on or before the due date.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates need to fulfill the GBU GPTR Eligibility Criteria to be eligible to apply for the GBU GPTR examination 2023.

  • Candidates need to have completed their Masters in the relevant subject which they want to hold the Ph.D.
  • Candidates should have a minimum 50% aggregate marks in their Master’s degree to fulfill their candidacy for the GPTR.
  • The candidates of the reserved category will be given the relaxation of 5% marks and need to have 45% aggregate marks in Masters.

GBU GPTR 2023 Application Form: How to Apply?

  • After fulfilling the eligibility criteria, candidates need to apply thru the online application form.
  • The application will be available on the official website of the university which is ‘www.gbu.ac.in’.
  • In the online application form, candidates will be asked to provide their details as of their name, address (local and permanent) and contact information (mobile/phone number) etc.
  • Candidates will also be asked to provide the details of their educational qualification in the application form.
  • Candidates should be cautious about the email ID which they will provide in the application form and the email ID must be active and genuine.
  • All the communications regarding the GPTR will be made by the university on the email ID which candidates will provide in the application form.

Details about the Scanned Photo and Signature

  • Candidates will have to provide the scanned photo and signature in the application form.
  • The scanned photo and the signature must be in the format and size provided in the official notification.

Details about the Application Fee

  • Candidates will have to make the payment of the application fee before taking the printout of the application form.
  • The application fee will be Rs. 1200 for the candidates of the general category and it will be Rs. 600 for the candidates of the SC and ST category.

Selection Procedure

  • Candidates will be selected on the basis of the marks gained by them in the entrance examination which will be conducted by the university at different centres.
  • The qualifying marks will be decided by the university in the entrance examination.
  • The admission of the candidates will also depend on the availability of the number of seats in the University for the Ph.D. programme.
