GBPUAT Admission 2023: Application Form, Eligibility, Exam Date

GBPUAT Admission 2023 (UG/PG): Online applications will be invited by Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology for admission in UG & PG courses (Except M.Tech) and Doctoral Courses of the university from the permanent residents of Uttarakhand. Candidates belonging to other states apart from Uttarakhand may apply for M.Tech, MCA and Ph.D courses only. Children/wards of Kashmiri Migrants and J&K Residents can apply for Bachelor degree courses only.

GBPUAT 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must satisfy the required eligibility criteria before applying for GBPUAT Admissions. Eligibility conditions for different courses is listed below:

• Master degree courses: Candidates should have passed graduation with minimum 55% marks.
• Ph.D Courses: Candidate should have done Post Graduation in relevant stream with minimum 55% marks in Graduation
• M.Tech courses: Candidate should be qualified GATE and B.Tech examination.
• B.Sc in Food Technology: Candidates should have done 12th examination with mathematics and biology.
• B.Sc in Agriculture: Candidates should have done 12th examination with Agriculture/Science
• B.V.Sc and AH courses: Candidates should have done 12th Science with Chemistry, English, Physics, Mathematics and Biology with minimum 50% marks (40% marks for candidates belonging to OBC/SC/ST)
• B.Sc Home Science: Candidates should have done 12th Science with Mathematics or Biology
• English B.F.Sc: Candidate should have done 12th Science with Biology or Agriculture

GBPUAT 2023 Application Form: How to fill?

Aspirants can apply via online or offline mode.

Online

For online application, you need to visit official website of university i.e. www.gbpuat.ac.in. Fill all required details asked in the application form accurately. After fill-in process, proceed for application fee payment mode. Candidate can submit application fee through Demand draft, bank challan or university cash receipt. In case of payment through Demand Draft, DD should be drawn in favour of “PEECRF A/C G.B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar, payable at State Bank of India /United Commercial Bank /Punjab National Bank, Pantnagar. Candidates need to upload scanned photograph, signature and left hand thumb impression in prescribed format. Send the duly filled application along with all enclosures at address mentioned below:

Offline

Application form along with prospectus can be obtained via two modes:

In Person: by paying amount of Rs 200 plus Rs 50/ as handling charges at the Designated Post Offices.

By Post

Candidates can get format of application form via post from Admission Cell of the University. A duly filled application form should be sent before the due date to the address provided below:

Exam Pattern

For Masters’ programmes

Candidates have to perform in the Aptitude Test and Subject Matter Test. The duration of exam will be 3 hours. The Subject Matter Test and Aptitude Test will comprise of 150 and 50 questions for all groups respectively. The paper will consist of objective type questions with four alternate choices for each question. The exam will be held in the English language only.

For Phd Programmes

The exam for Phd courses will be a subject matter test containing 600 marks.  The paper will comprise objective type questions with four alternate choices and duration of exam will be 3 hours.

For UG courses

One common Entrance Examination will conduct for admission to all Undergraduate Programmes. The duration of exam will be three hours. The entrance exam will consists of one question paper carrying a total of 600 marks and would be of objective type in nature with multiple choices. The paper will conduct in English and Hindi languages.

GBPUAT 2023 Admission Process

• All admissions in the GBPUAT will be made strictly on merit as prepared on the basis of marks scored by the applicants in the Competitive Entrance Examination to be organized by the University, except the following:
• Admission to M.Tech courses will be made on the basis of GATE scores
• Admissions to B.Tech courses will be made by the University based on the merit of Joint Examination (JEE) conducted by CBSE, New Delhi.
• Admission to MBA and MBA (Agribusiness) courses will be made through CMAT score and personal interview and Group Discussion conducted by the University.
• Admission to Master’s program in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology will be made through the entrance examination held by J.N.U., New Delhi.
• Admissions to MCA courses will be made by a separate Entrance Examination to be organized by the University.

Admit Card

Candidate can download the Admit card for the Entrance Examination from the University website i.e. www.gbpuat.ac.in. The Coordinator Admissions, G.B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar will not send admit card separately to any individual.

Counselling

Candidates, who successfully qualified the entrance exam, will be invited for counseling on a specified date and time as per merit for concern of admission to various Masters’, Undergraduate, MCA and Ph.D courses. The process of counselling will continue till the last seat in each programme is occupied.
