GATE Result 2020

The IIT Delhi will manage the GATE 2020 exam will declare the result on the 16th March 2020 which can be checked through the official website of GOAPS. The candidates will be able to find the GATE qualification status and marks through this result card.

The validity of the GATE 2020 result will be 3 years from the date of its announcement. The official link of checking the GATE result 2020 will be updated in this post after its announcement. The aspiring candidates can check all the necessary details about GATE result through this article as the official notification is yet to be released.

Calculation of GATE 2020 score for all the papers

  • The marks scored by the candidate will be calculated by authorities in two forms i.e. raw marks and normalized marks.
  • Raw will be calculated for the paper that is organized in a single session and normalized marks will be calculated for Multi-session paper.
  • Based on the raw and normalized marks of the candidates the qualifying marks for general category candidate in the GATE examination 2020 is expected to be 25 out of 100 or μ + σ.
  • μ and σ are the mean and standard deviation of marks of all the candidates who will appear in the GATE exam.

Instructions to Check Result

The result of GATE Exam 2020 will be released on the official website of GOAPS. The candidates have to simply visit the website and provide the roll number and the result of GATE 2020 will be displayed on the screen just after pressing the “Submit” button.

GATE 2020 Scorecard

  • As soon as the declaration of GATE  results, the candidates will be able to download the GATE  Scorecard 2020 (for the paper which candidates have appeared or given the examination.)
  • It is expected that GATE 2020 scorecard will be available for download between the 16th March 2020 and the last week of May 2020 through the GOAPS official website.
  • If a GATE 2020 qualified candidate needs a soft copy of GATE scorecard even after the last date of result downloading then he/she will be able to obtain the same by paying an amount of Rs 500/- to the authorities.
  • Candidates, please note that there will be no provision for the publication of hard copies of GATE  scorecard 2020.
  • The validity of GATE 2020 will be three years from the date of its declaration.
  • The GATE score will be valid for admission to various PG engineering courses in top engineering colleges across India and for the recruitment of various private and government organizations.
