The paper code listed in the table is very important to know and learn as it is required at the time of application as well as examination.
The choice of the GATE paper in which the candidates will have to appear is totally upon the candidate to make. It is suggested that the candidate appear for the paper in which he/she has earned the qualifying degree. The applicants are free to opt for any of the above-mentioned papers, as per their employment plan. However, it is important that the applicants check the eligibility criteria of the institution in which they wish for admission, before filling the application form.
The GATE 2019 papers for CE, CS, EC, EE and ME discipline will be conducted in multiple sessions. Kindly note that you are only allowed to appear in one paper in any one session. If any candidate submits more than one application form for the same paper, it does not grant him/her any kind of opportunity to appear in more than one session of the paper. Only one form of the candidate will be considered and the rest will be rejected. Also, no refunds will be provided to the application for the rejected applications. It is very necessary to make the paper selection with utmost care as once submitted, no changes can be made in the application.
The syllabus and eligibility for each paper of GATE 2019 will be different. The candidates are advised to go thoroughly through the syllabus of the paper they wish to appear for.
