About the Vinayaka Missions University
Vinayaka Missions University located at Salem is Vibrant and Pioneering University offering Quality Education to students. The University is formerly known as the Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation was conferred the status of ‘University’ in 2001, by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India on the recommendation of UGC under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956. Due to its High-Quality Academic standards, this University is becoming 48th University in India.
The University was established in the year of 1981 with the establishment of Thirumuruga Kirupanada Variyar Thavathiru Sundara Swamigal (TKVTSS) Medical Education and Charitable Trust. The founder-chairman of the University, A. Shanmugasundaram instituted the Vinayaka Mission’s College of Pharmacy in Salem, Tamil Nadu in 1982. The Pharmacy College is the pioneer institution of the Vinayaka Missions.
Vinayaka Missions University is the Deemed University of India providing the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate courses in all the streams.
The University is located in Salem of Tamil Nadu and has its campus in rural as well as in urban area. This University is providing the education to 25000+ students out of which 19000+ are undergraduate students and 5500+ are post graduate students.
