The Tamil Nadu College of Engineering, Coimbatore is also known by the name TCE, Coimbatore. TCE is a private and self-financial institute. The institute is the first private institute in the Tamil Nadu city. The management of the Tamil Nadu College of Engineering, Coimbatore is in the hands of Tamil Nadu Technical Education Foundation. The institute is affiliated to the famous technical university which is the Anna University. Various courses in engineering and management are offered at TCE at both bachelor and master level.
The Tamil Nadu College of Engineering, Coimbatore was founded by Late Lion T.N. Palanisame and Dr P.V. Ravi who were renowned philanthropists. The establishment of TCE was done in the year 1984. The Tamil Nadu College of Engineering, Coimbatore is situated at the Chenniyandavar Kovil which is said to be 4 km away from the Karumathampatti. It falls on the NH 47 which is about 30 km from the industrial area of Coimbatore towards the Avinashi. The institute is located in the suburbs of Coimbatore.
