SASTRA University is the India’s First Deemed University of the India situated at Thanjavur district of the State Tamil Nadu. Its focus is to provide the various Post Graduate and Under Graduate courses in the stream of Engineering, Science, Education, Management, and Arts. This University has been accredited with the Grade ‘A’ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). This is a centre for foresting and developing the academic excellence and real world experience with moral values.
Foundation:
SASTRA University was founded in 1984 in the form of Shanmugha College of Engineering affiliated to the Bharathidasan University, Trichy and was renamed as Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology & Research Academy. The Software IT Company Tata Consultancy set a world record of record of recruiting 15, 00 students direct from the University Campus in the year 2011.

Admission Procedure:
Admission Procedure of SASTRA University
The Admission into the SASTRA University will be only Merit based. Candidates having the Score of HSC and JEE (Main) will be considered to be eligible to apply for different courses in the University.
The Counseling process of the Admission Procedure is conducted in the later half of the month June every year. To provide the synchronization among the Candidates score belong to different Board or Institutions, the University provides the facility of the Normalization of Score in order to test the candidates at the same scale.
