About the SRM University
SRM University, Vadapalani Campus is the smallest part of the SRM University. The SRM University was earlier known as SRM Institute of Science and Technology is located in the state of Tamil Nadu. This University has its four campuses at different locations. The Vadapalani campus of the University provides the four blocks i.e. Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Faculty of Management, Faculty of MCA and Sivaji Ganesh Film Institute. The SRM Institute of Medical Science is also located in this campus of the University.
The SRM University was established in 1985 and was named as SRM Engineering College in Kattankulathur, under the University of Madras. It was renamed as the SRM University during the session of 2003-2004. The University got the full-fledged university status, under section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 in the year 2006.
The Campus of the University is spread across the 250 acres. It is serving 30000 undergraduate students and 1000 postgraduate students. The Vadapalani campus of the University is providing the facility of the super specialty Hospital in its campus. The Motto of the University is ‘Learn, Leap and Lead’.
The SRM University is co-educational private university located in Chennai and providing various undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate programmes to the candidates.
