The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) will be organizing the VITMEE 2020 Examination for the purpose of granting admission to the candidates in various master’s programme like MCA/M.Tech/Integrated Ph.D offered by it. Preparation Tips for VITMEE 2020

Cracking the VITMEE Exam is quite tough but with the help of proper planning and execution, candidates can clear this exam with the flying colors. Since the admission through VITMEE is done on the basis of scores secured by the candidates, therefore, it is important for all the aspirants to prepare for the exam whole-heartedly. Given below are the widely common yet mostly ignored preparation tips that must be followed by every aspirant to succeed in the exam-

  • First know the syllabus and then begin your preparation.
  • Prepare a realistic time table which can be followed easily.
  • Devote time equally to all the technical subjects, as the weightage of the same is 80%. However, the remaining 20% part should not be ignored too. The English Part should be dealt with after finishing the syllabus for the technical part of the exam.
  • Practice mock tests and sample papers to improve your performance.
  • Don’t undervalue the importance of revision. Revision is the key to crack the exam and it should be done regularly.

VITMEE 2020 Application Form

The authority will release the application form of the VITMEE exam on the official website. Candidate can fill the form only through the online mode. Applicants need to furnish their personal details, educational details etc. in the form. They must fill the form very carefully as once the form is submitted, no correction in the particulars will be allowed. Applicants should also keep the scanned documents (photograph + signature) ready while filling the application form. It is important for all the applicants to pay the required amount of the application fee for the exam. Candidates need not send the hard copy of the application form to the officials. Without the application fee, the forms received will be rejected by the authority. Candidates can use the login details to book the slot for the exam as per their convenience.

Application Fee

Candidates need to pay Rs. 1121/- as the application fee for the VITMEE 2020 Examination. The fee can be paid through the credit card/debit card/net banking.

Eligibility Criteria for VITMEE 2020

Candidates can ensure their status of eligibility for the VITMEE Entrance exam as per the criteria mentioned below-

Nationality: A candidate should be a resident of India. The NRI/PIO/Foreign candidates can apply through the International Relations Tab on the website.

Educational Qualification:

  • A candidate should have done graduation (full time) in relevant discipline from a recognized university with minimum 60% aggregate marks for MCA and M.Tech Courses.
  • Candidates appearing in the final year of graduation are also eligible to apply for the exam.
  • A consistent educational record is also required in class 10th & 12th.
  • Candidates with a maximum of 2 years of the academic gap can also appear for the exam.

VITMEE 2020 Admit Card

The admit card will be applicable to only those candidates who have successfully submitted the application form. Candidates can download their admit card through the official website. It is mandatory for every candidate to carry the admit card in the exam hall. Candidates should make sure that the details printed on the hall ticket is true, in case of discrepancy they must contact the authority immediately.

Result and Counselling

The authority will announce the result of the VITMEE 2020 Examination on its official website i.e. http://www.vit.ac.in/. The candidates can check their result using their application number and DOB. A list will be published on the website indicating the name/roll. No of the candidates selected for further rounds. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of scores obtained by them will be called for the interview/counselling rounds. Candidates selected will have to deposit Rs. 12,000/- as counselling fee that will be adjusted in tuition fees on joining the institute.
