University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (commonly known as UVCE) is an ingredient college of Bangalore University. Established in the year 1917, UVCE is the 5th engineering college to be started in India. The college is set up by Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya as Government Engineering College, and was then affiliated to the Bangalore University. The campus is accredited by NAAC and approved by the AICTE.
