TANCET 2019: Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test abbreviated as TANCET 2019 is a state level entrance examination which is managed by the Anna University, Chennai on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu. TANCET 2019 Eligibility criteria

Before applying for the exam, it is must for all candidates to ensure their eligibility and then proceed further. As the exam is organized for admission to different courses so the eligibility criteria may vary course-wise. Check the complete TANCET eligibility criteria 2019 below:

  • Candidates should be the resident of Tamil Nadu state. Students from another state may also apply but their eligibility will be decided by the respective authorities.
  • Qualification requirements will be different for every course as listed below.

For M. Tech/ M.E. / M. Arch/M. Plan:

Candidates should have done bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the respective streams with scoring at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for the candidates belonging to SC/ST categories).

Candidates holding a valid GATE score card can also apply.

For MBA:

Candidate should have passed a minimum of 3 years Bachelor’s degree with scoring no less than 50% marks (45% for candidates belonging to reserved).

For MCA:

Candidates should have passed Bachelor’s degree with mathematics at 10+2 and graduation level. They must score at least 50% marks (45% marks for reserved category candidates) in the qualifying examination.

TANCET 2019 Application form: How to apply?

Aspiring candidates willing to take TANCET exam 2019 have to fill and submit the duly filled application on or before the due date.   • The application form will be available in online mode only from the official website of conducting body.
  • No offline mode will be entertained by the authority.
  • Applicants can fill only a single form for all the three entrance exams.

  • Make the payment of Rs. 500 (Rs. 250 for SCA/ST/SC category) as an applicable fee for anyone course through online mode only.

Exam pattern TANCET 2019

Most likely, the TANCET 2019 exam will be organized in the month of June 2019. The entrance test of MBA and MCA will be held on the same date but in the different slot. TANCET Syllabus 2019

The syllabus of TANCET 2019 will be varied course wise. For MBA, the questions will be set from the topics as Verbal Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation, and Logical Reasoning. For MCA course syllabus will be prepared from Analytical reasoning, Quantitative ability, Logical reasoning, Verbal ability, Computer awareness, and Basic Sciences.

Exam Centers

The entrance test will be held at Chennai, Tirunelveli, Karaikudi, Coimbatore, Tiruchirappalli, Madurai, Chidambaram, Vellore, Nagercoil, Dindigul, Villupuram, Salem, Erode, Thanjavur, and Virudhunagar

Admit card

The conducting body i.e. Anna University will release the admit card in online mode only. Candidates can download the admit card from the official website most likely in the month of March 2019. It is mandatory to bring the admit card to the examination center. Without a valid admit card, no candidate will be allowed to appear in the exam. Candidates should keep it safe till the admission procedure is not over.

TANCET Result 2019

The result of TANCET will be published in the month of March 2019 tentatively. Candidates can download their score card after 10 days of the result announcement. To check the result online, the candidates need to enter their user ID and password.

TANCET 2019 Counselling

After the announcement of the result, candidates have to appear in the counselling process. Most probably, the counselling process will be commenced in the month of May 2019. Candidates will get admission into Anna University, Government, private and Self-financing Colleges in Tamil Nadu based on their TANCET 2019 scores.
