PTU B.Tech and B.Arch Admission 2021: Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar will be inviting applications from eligible candidates for admission to B.Tech and B.Arch courses for the academic year 2021-22. PTU does not conduct any entrance test for admission under these courses. The University only organizes centralized counselling for admission in its affiliated colleges & also for itself.

Eligibility Criteria for PTU B.Tech and B.Arch Admission 2021
For B.Tech Courses
- Candidates must pass 12th Examination with Physics and Mathematics as main subjects along with one of the given subjects: Biotechnology, Chemistry, and Biology & Computer.
- Candidates having Diploma in any Engineering trade are also eligible to apply.
- Candidates who qualify two-year certificate course from SLIET (Sant Longowa/lnstitute of Engineerrng and Technology, Longowal) can also apply for admission.
- Candidate must clear the JEE Main.
For B.Arch Courses
- Candidates must have done 12th Examination with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
- Candidates having 10th + 3-year Diploma (any discipline) with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks are eligible to apply.
- Candidates, who hold international Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, with Mathematics as the necessary subject of examination and achieve minimum 50% marks in aggregate, can also apply for admission.
- Candidates should qualify NATA.
Reservation Criteria
A total of 85% seats will be reserved for those candidates who possess domicile of Punjab & remaining 15% seats reserved for those outside from Punjab state. If the applicant belongs to any reserved category, they will be allowed to make a claim for reservation.
Application Form: How to apply?
The university will release a notification regarding to the centralized counselling process most probably in the month of May 2021. Interested and eligible candidates have to fill the PTU 2021 Admission Form by paying the Rs. 2000 (Non-refundable) as required counseling fee. The fee submission process will available in the official website only from the first week of June 2021 (tentative). No application form or entrance exam will be announced by the PTU.
Counselling Process
Candidates are required to register themselves for admission in the PTU University and its affiliated colleges. They need to fill the online registration form and make a choice filling. Submit the duly filled in form along with required PTU 2021 Counselling fee.
If any applicant will not attend the first round of counselling, they can attend the 2nd round of counselling.

Selection Process
B.Tech Courses
On the basis of the JEE Main score, Candidates will get admission in B.Tech Course of the affiliated colleges and university also. If seats will remain vacant then the admission will be done through inter-se merit of qualifying examination.
B.Arch Courses
The admission in the B.Arch Course will be done on the basis of NATA score and marks obtained by the applicant in the qualifying examination in the ratio of 50:50.
