OJEE Eligibility Criteria 2023: The JEE Cell, Odisha conducts OJEE for admissions into different courses in the field of engineering, technology, pharmacy, etc. However, it is necessary for the candidate to fulfill the OJEE Eligibility Criteria 2023 specified for these courses. Only those candidates who meet the eligibility criteria for OJEE will be considered for admissions. The interested candidates who wish to submit their application for the exam must ensure that they satisfy the OJEE Eligibility Criteria 2023 before filling the form.

Course-wise OJEE Eligibility Criteria 2023

For admission to 1st-year B.Pharm:

Candidates who have passed (or appearing) their 10+2 science exam of CHSE, Odisha or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical vocational subjects can apply for the OJEE. The minimum qualifying marks required are 45% (40% for SC/ ST candidates).

Age Limit: There is no age limit.

For admission to 1st-year BAMS and BHMS:

Those who have passed (or appearing) their science exam of CHSE, Odisha or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology scoring 50% marks in aggregate of these subjects (40% for SC/ ST candidates) are eligible.

Age Limit: The lower age shall be 17 years as on December 31, 2023.

For admission to 2nd-year B.Pharm:

The candidates who have done 2-year Diploma in Pharmacy after their 12th with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ ST candidates) from a recognized university are eligible. Final year appearing candidates are eligible too.

Age Limit: There is no age limit.

For admission to 2nd-year course in Engineering/ Technology:

  • Those with a 3-year diploma in engineering/ technology with 45% marks (40% for SC/ ST candidates) in the aggregate are said to be satisfying the OJEE Eligibility Criteria 2023.
  • The applicants who have passed their 3-year B.Sc degree or another equivalent bachelor’s degree in Science with 45% marks (40% for SC/ ST candidates) are eligible provided they have passed their class 12th exam with Mathematics as a subject. The candidates will, however, have to pass the subjects of Engineering Graphics/ Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year of engineering program along with the second year subjects. The B.Sc candidates will only be selected for the seats that remain vacant after filling the diploma holders.
  • Appearing candidates can also apply.

Age Limit: There is no age limit.

Guidelines for admission into 2nd Year of B.Tech (Marine Engineering) Programme:

  • The candidates joining the course who have done engineering should have passed in all the subjects with minimum of 60% marks.
  • The candidates joining the course who have done 3-Year diploma course in Mechanical/ Marine/ Electrical Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering should have passed with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in the last year of their diploma course.
  • In addition, the candidates must have secured 50% marks in English at 10th/ 12th/ Diploma or Degree level.

Age Limit: The candidate should be less than 22 years of age on the day of commencement of course.

For admission to MCA:

The candidates who hold 3-year bachelor’s degree in any discipline or is appearing in the final year exam and have passed in Mathematics in class 12th or at the graduate level can apply. The candidate should have obtained at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST category) in the qualifying exam.

Age Limit: There is no age limit.

For admission to 2nd year MCA:

Candidates must have passed (or appearing) bachelor’s degree examination of minimum three years duration in BCA, B. Sc. (IT/ Computer Science/IST/ITM) with at least of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST category) in order to be eligible. In addition to this, a pass in Mathematics in class 12th or at the graduate level is also required.

Age Limit: There is no age limit.

For admission to MBA and Integrated MBA:

MBA:

  • In order to be eligible for admission into MBA degree programme, the candidates should have passed a 3-year duration bachelor’s level examination from a recognized university.
  • The applicants who have earned a 4/5 year bachelors’ degree in engineering/ technology/ pharmacy (BE/ B.Tech/ B.Pharma) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ ST candidates) also meet the OJEE Eligibility Criteria 2023.
  • Those who are appearing in their final year exams are also eligible.

Age Limit: There is no age limit.

Integrated MBA: Those who have passed (or appearing) their science exam of CHSE, Odisha or equivalent and have secured at least 45% marks in aggregate of all subjects (40% for SC/ ST candidates) are eligible. An individual pass in all the subjects is also required.

Age Limit: There is no age limit.

For admission to M.Tech:

M.Tech (Regular): A candidate who holds B.Tech/ M.Sc degree in the relevant field completed with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ ST candidates) from a recognized university are eligible. The applicants in their final year can also apply.

M.Tech (Part-time): Along with a pass in the bachelor’s degree exam in the relevant field, the candidates must also have a minimum of 2 years full-time work experience in a registered firm/ Company/ Industry/ Educational & Government, Autonomous Organizations in the relevant field in which admission is sought.

Age Limit: There is no age limit.

For admission to M.Arch, M.Pharma, and M.Plan:

M.Arch: For admission in M.Arch, the aspiring candidates must have a B.Arch degree earned from a recognized university. The candidates should have obtained at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST category) in the qualifying exam. Applicants in the final year of their B.Arch course can also apply.

M.Pharma: The candidates must have a B.Pharma degree from a recognized university and should have secured a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST category) at the B.Pharma level in order to appear for OJEE. The appearing candidates are also eligible.

M.Plan: Those who have passed (or appearing) their bachelor’s degree exam in the field of Architecture, Planning, or Civil Engineering or have passed Master’s Degree in Economics, Geography, Sociology, Anthropology, Environmental Science, Statistics, Social works with specialization in Community Development and Rural Development are considered to be satisfying the OJEE Eligibility Criteria 2023. The minimum marks to be secured in the qualifying exam should be 50% marks (45% for SC/ST category).

Age Limit: There is no age limit for M.Arch, M.Pharma and M.Plan courses.

OJEE Application Form

The candidates who fulfill all the OJEE Eligibility Criteria 2023 can apply for the exam by submitting their application form. The application form is supposed to release in the month of February in online mode. For different courses, different links for application form will be provided to the candidates. The application form must be filled completely by providing only the correct information. The details of the personal and educational life of the candidates will be filled in the form and the images of photograph, signature and thumb impression will also be uploaded.
