KCET 2019: Application Form, Important Dates, Exam Pattern

KCET 2019: Karnataka Common Entrance Test is a state level entrance exam organized by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) under the aegis of Karnataka University. KCET 2019 also known as Karnataka CET is a gateway for offering admission into various professional degree courses in the field of Engineering, Architecture, Pharmacy, Homeopathy, Ayurveda etc. Through this entrance test, candidates will get admission into various institutions/colleges of the state. It is assumed that, the upcoming KCET 2019 will be held in the month of May 2019.

KCET 2019 Important Dates

KCET Eligibility criteria

Candidates first check the prescribed KCET eligibility criteria 2019 before applying the exam. It is must for all candidates to fulfill each of the eligibility conditions to have appeared for KCET 2019. The eligibility criteria are different for the courses of Pharmacy/Science and Engineering/Architecture. The details of KCET eligibility criteria 2019 are given below:

For Pharmacy/Science Courses

Applicants must have passed their 2nd PUC/10+2 or equivalent with PCB and English as a language subject with no less than 50% marks (40% in case of SC/ST candidates) in PCB group.

For Engineering/Architecture Courses

  • Applicants should pass the 2nd PUC/10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with Mathematics & Physics as a main subject and English as a language subject. They must pass the qualifying examination scoring minimum of 45% marks (40% marks in case of SC/ST category).
  • For architecture course, candidates have clear NATA exam with valid score

KCET Application Form: How to apply?

The conducting body i.e. KEA will release the KCET application form 2019 probably in the month of January 2019. All the candidates are to advise to submit their duly filled application form before the due date. Check here all important information related KCET 2019 online application form filling process:

The application form will available in online mode only from the official website of conducting body. No other mode will be entertained for application submission. Fill all the important details in the form correctly and carefully. Candidates also have to upload their scanned images of photograph, left hand thumb impression and signature as per the given specifications. Make the payment of Rs. 650/ (Rs. 500/ for SC/ST category) as an applicable fee through specified bank Challan. At last, take the print out of filled application form for future reference.

Exam pattern

The conducting body will organize KCET 2019 for admission to various professional degree courses in the state of Karnataka. Candidates, who are planning to appear in this exam, are recommended to go through the details of examination pattern to make better study plans. The KCET exam pattern 2019 is given below:

Admit Card

The admit card of KCET 2019 will be issued via online mode only. Candidates who successfully registered for the exam can download their admit card from the official website. It is expected that the KCET Admit Card 2019 will be released in the month of April 2019. The admit card will contain important details related exam such as candidate’s name, roll number, exam center address, date and time of the exam etc. Candidates should bring the valid admit card while appearing in the exam center.

KCET Syllabus

The syllabus of KCET will consist of topics and chapters studied in PUC 1st and 2nd level prescribed by the Department of Pre-University Education of Karnataka State. KCET Syllabus for engineering programme will include subjects like Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics whereas the syllabus for Pharmacy will cover three major subjects namely Physics, Biology, and Chemistry. For, candidates have to go through the subjects such as.

Result

The conducting body will announce the KCET Result 2019 through online mode probably in the month of May 2019. To check the result, candidates need to enter their roll number or registered number in the given fields. After the announcement of the result, the authority will also publish KCET cutoff marks. Don’t forget to take the print out of your result for future reference.

KCET Counselling 2019

The process of KCET 2019 Counselling will be commenced tentatively in the month of June 2019. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for the counselling process based on their merit in the entrance examination. Verification of documents and seat allotment will be done at the time of counselling. So, it is must for candidates to participate in the counselling in person. Seats will be allotted on the basis of candidate’s performance in the entrance examination, seat availability & filled choices.
