JKCET Exam Pattern 2022: Negative Marking, Exam Duration

Most of the JKCET aspirants are confused about the exam pattern of JKCET exam 2022. This article is written for the group of students who are keen to know about the JKCET exam pattern 2022. We are sharing here every fractional detail such as the number of questions, type of questions, exam duration, marking scheme etc in Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test. The question paper will consist of three sections, where Physics & Chemistry are the compulsory sections and Mathematics & Biology are the optional ones. All the questions asked in the exam will be according to the syllabus prescribed by the Jammu & Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination.

Question Paper Groups Subjects Involved Duration of the Exam
A PCB and PCM Physics and Chemistry (Common Paper) 120 minutes
B PCM Mathematics 60 minutes

Important Highlights

  • The exam will be conducted in pen and paper mode i.e. offline mode.
  • The total number of multiple-choice based questions will be 180.
  • The exam duration will be for 3 hours.

Marking Scheme in JKCET Exam 2022

  • One mark will be awarded for every correctly attempted question.
  • Deduction of 0.25 marks will be done for an incorrectly attempted question.
  • Candidates will be provided 2 hours of time for answering Part A, whereas, they have to attempt Part B within an hour.
  • Candidates have to show their presence at least one hour prior to the commencement of exam.
  • Candidates will find the questions in English language only.
  • They should make the preparation of the exam according to the syllabus prescribed by the exam conducting authority.
