Jharkhand Polytechnic Eligibility Criteria

The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) will conduct the Polytechnic Entrance Competitive Examination (PECE) which is commonly known as the Jharkhand Polytechnic exam. This exam will act as the gateway for the admission to Polytechnic Diploma Courses in the state of Jharkhand. Before applying for the exam, it is important that the candidates must know and understand the Jharkhand Polytechnic Eligibility Criteria 2023.

Jharkhand Polytechnic Eligibility Criteria 2023

The candidates have to fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned below in order to apply for the Jharkhand Polytechnic Exam.

Nativity

• The candidate must be a permanent or local resident of the Jharkhand.
• Wards of Jharkhand state government employee working in the state of Jharkhand can also apply.
• Every candidate will be required to show the domicile certificate issued by the concerned authorities at the time of document verification.

Educational Qualification

The candidate should possess the below mentioned educational qualification in order to fulfill the Jharkhand Polytechnic Eligibility Criteria 2023.

• The applicant must have passed class 10^th or equivalent with at least 35% marks.
• The candidates who will appear for the class 10^th exam in the year 2023 can also apply but their admission will be confirmed only after they clear the class 10^th exam with 35% marks.

Age Limit

• The candidate must be at least 17 years old as on 1^st July 2023 for admission to diploma in Mining Engineering.
• There is no upper or lower age limit for rest of the courses.

Reservation

• The reservation will be granted to the candidates from reserved categories as per the norms of Jharkhand State government.
• The candidates have to show the relevant documents in favour of their reservation claim at the time of counselling.

Free Education Scheme

• As per the norms of AICTE, 5% of the total seats in every institute will be filled under the free education scheme.
• These seats will be granted to the candidates whose parent’s annual income is less than 6 Lakhs.
• All these seats are unreserved and candidates who to furnish the income certificates of their parents at the time of counselling.

Note: The income certificate should not be older than 1 year.

Jharkhand Polytechnic Application Form 2023

The application form for Jharkhand Polytechnic will be available in online mode only. The candidates have to register themselves on the official website i.e. http://jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in in order to apply for the exam. The applicants will be required to enter all their educational details in the application form. Apart from the details, the candidates should upload the scanned copies of recent passport size photograph, signature and thumb impression.

There is no requirement to send the hard copy of application form to the authorities.

Application Fee

The application fee will be paid via online payment gateways using a credit card, debit card or net banking. The application fee for different categories will be as follows:

For General/ BC- I/ BC- II categories: Rs. 650/-

For SC/ ST and Female candidates of all categories: 325/-

Note: The candidates should make sure that they fulfill the Jharkhand Polytechnic eligibility criteria 2023 before submitting the application fee. As the application fee once submitted will not be refunded under any circumstances.
