Instructions for JEE Main Pen and Paper Based Exam 2023

Pen and Paper based exam for JEE Main is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education for Paper-1 (B. E./B. Tech.) and Paper- 2 (B. Arch./B. Planning.). If you are quite unaware with the facts of pen and paper based exam the post will make you aware with all its aspects. Here I’m specifying all possible instructions candidates need to follow during pen and paper-based exam.

Guidelines Should be Followed by Candidates- JEE Main

  • Obtain you JEE Main admit card from the official website by using your application number and date of birth. Once you obtain your admit card, check all entries mentioned on it and ensure that they are right. If you have found any discrepancy then intimate the authority regarding the same immediately.
  • Please reach the examination venue as mentioned on your admit card at least 30 minutes before the beginning of the test.
  • Inside the examination hall, you’d be asked to produce your admit card. So please necessarily bring your admit card.
  • Candidates those are appearing for Aptitude Test in Architecture they need to bring their own geometry box set, erasers, pencils and colour pencils or crayons.
  • Please bring a cardboard or a clipboard on which nothing is written for marking answers of questions on OMR answer sheet suitably. Also, bring your blue or black ball point pen of good quality.
  • Candidates are also instructed to bring one copy of following documents while coming to the examination hall.
  • PwD category applicants are required to bring category certificate in the prescribed format. The certificate must be issued by the competent authority.
  • Candidates will be provided sealed Test Booklet containing an Answer Sheet 10 minutes before the commencement of exam.
  • Soon after obtaining the test booklet, please fill all necessary information on the cover page.

JEE Main -Crucial Instructions for Pen and Paper Based Exam

  • Candidates will be permitted to open/break seal of the text booklet just 5 minutes before the commencement of exam. After breaking the seal, please take out your answer sheet very carefully.
  • Your test would be started exactly on time mentioned on the admit card.
  • Exam duration will be for three hours.
  • You’ll find three parts of question paper including Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • 4 marks will be allotted for every correct answer whereas 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
  • All questions will have only one right answer, making more than one will be assumed as a wrong answer.
  • Kindly verify your Text booklet and answer sheet properly and if you’ve found any discrepancy then intimate the authority very soon.
  • You need to sign on attendance sheet twice.
