IIT Kharagpur M.Tech admission 2023 important dates (tentative)

Eligibility Criteria

• Aspirants should meet the eligibility criteria before applying. The eligibility criteria of IIT Kharagpur M.Tech admission are as follows:
• Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in Technology/ Engineering/Architecture/M.Sc or equivalent professional degrees (AMIE etc).
• They must pass the qualifying examination with scoring minimum of 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10 point scale (55% or CGPA of 6.0 for candidates from SC/ST/PD category).
• Applicants should possess a valid GATE score.

Note: B.Tech graduates from any IIT with a minimum CGPA/CPI of 8.00 are exempted from appearing in the GATE exam.

IIT Kharagpur M.Tech Admission Application form: How to apply?

• First of all, candidates are needed to register themselves. During the registration they have to provide some basic details such as date of birth, email ID, password, GATE registration number (as mentioned in the admit card), passing year, qualifying degree, category etc.
• After successful registration candidates can proceed for the application fill in process.
• Now, fill the required personal as well as educational information in the form as per specified format.
• Upload the scanned images of copies of your signature, qualifying degree certificate, photograph, category certificate & other important documents in the given format.
• Candidates have to make the payment of applicable application fee.
• Save and submit the duly filled in application form.
• After that, they should take printout of filled application form for future use. However, there is no provision of sending the hard copy of the application form to the authority.

Application fee:

Candidates have to pay Rs 500/- (Rs 250 for candidates from SC/ST category) as necessary application Fee. The payment of application fee can be done through online mode using Debit card/Credit Cards/ Net Banking.

Selection Process

Selection of candidates for IIT Kharagpur PG admission will be done on the basis of their GATE exam scores. Shortlisted candidates will also have to appear in written exam and interview round.
