GCET 2019: The Directorate of Technical Education, Goa is the respective body which organizes Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) every year. GCET 2019 is a state level entrance test organized for offering admission to various professional degree courses in the field of architecture, engineering, nursing and many others. GCET 2019 important dates

The conducting body determines eligibility criteria for GCET 2019 which explains minimum qualification required for appearing the exam. Nationality: Candidate should be the citizen of India.
- For Homeopathy, Ayurveda, allied Health Sciences, Dentistry and Nursing: 17 years (minimum age)
- For Pharmacy, Engineering and Architecture: No age bar.
Educational qualification: The minimum qualification required for all courses offered through GCET 2019 will be different from each other. Course wise eligibility criteria are as follows:
For engineering course:
Candidates should have passed HSSC or equivalent examination with Mathematics, English, and Physics as mandatory subjects and one additional subject from Biotechnology/Computer Science / Biology / Chemistry. They must pass the qualifying examination with the minimum of 45% marks (40% marks for candidates belonging to reserved categories).
Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.
Candidates should have done 10+2 examination of the Goa Board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and English as compulsory subjects along with one of the following additional subjects Mathematics/ Computer Science / Bio-Technology/Biology. They should pass the qualifying examination with no less than 45% marks (40% for candidates belonging to SC, ST, and OBC category only).
For B.Sc Nursing:
Applicants must be completed HSSC with Chemistry, Physics, Biology and English subjects scoring at least 45% aggregate marks (40% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category).
GCET 2019 Application form: How to apply?
Most likely, the application process for GCET will commence in the month of March 2019. Candidates are recommended to read the instructions for GCET application form and apply accordingly. Submit the duly filled form completed in all respects before the due date. Important points about GCET 2019 application process are given below:
- At first, download the application form from the official website of conducting board and take the printout of it.
- Fill all details in the application form in your own handwriting without attempting any mistake.
- Paste recent passport size photograph in the application form.
- Attach all the mandatory documents like demand draft, passing certificates, etc. with the application form.
- Make the payment of required application fee i.e. Rs. 1800/-through Demand Draft drawn in favor of “Director of Technical Education” payable at Panaji from any scheduled bank.
- Submit the application form at the specified locations on prescribed dates, along with self-attested copies of mandatory documents.

GCET Syllabus 2019
The syllabus of GCET 2019 will be based on the 12th syllabus prescribed by the Goa Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education. The entrance test will contain the questions from class XIIth (Science) subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology for the current year.
The entrance test will be held at the following centers:
Panaji, Tiswadi Cujira (Bambolim), Verna, Vasco, Navelim, Ponda-1, Mapusa, Ponda (Farmagudi), Curchorem, Bicholim, Porvorim, Sanquelim, Assagao, Dharbandora and Cuncolim
The authority will issue the GCET Hall ticket in person to each candidate. After submitting the application form – A, the applicants will be able to get the admit card from the admission committee. The admit card can be obtainable till the last date of filling the application form.
GCET Result 2019
Candidates can check the GCET 2019 result through online as well as offline modes. The authority will declare the result on its website and on the Notice Board at DTE. It is expected that the result of GCET will be announced in the month of May 2019. Please note down, no individual scorecard will be issued to the candidates. After the result declaration, a separate merit list will be published for each course. Candidates will be called for the counselling round based on this merit list.
The GCET Counselling 2019 will be held in offline mode. After the announcement of GCET 2019 result, the board will release the admission form for appearing in the counselling. Once the counselling process is over, the authority will publish the list of selected candidates who are eligible for admission. Candidates, whose names are listed on the admission list, will have to report at the allotted college along with all required original documents.
