GATE 2018: Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national level entrance test through which candidates can find admission into M.Tech./ME/Ph.D. programmes in IITs, IISERs, IISc, and other known Institutes of India. GATE 2018 Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) Website is going to be live from 1st September 2017 and the exam will be held on February 03- 04 & February 10- 11, 2018 (Saturdays & Sundays) in online mode. Before applying for GATE exam, candidates must verify that they are meeting with all necessary eligibility conditions.
GATE 2018 will be conducted by IIT Guwahati in online mode and GATE Application form 2018 will be available from 1st September 2017.

GATE 2018 Application Form
GATE 2018 notification announced and online application form will be available from 1st September 2017. Meanwhile, Candidates can check the details which are available in the following points:
- GATE 2018 Registration will be available through online mode only. Aspirants have to register and fill the application form through ‘GOAPS’ (GATE Online Application Processing System) portal only.
- However, applicants can also be accessed from the GOAPS portal from the website of respective Zonal GATE Offices or from the official website of the GATE 2018 Organizing institute.
- Candidates should upload the scanned signature, photograph, thumb impression, qualifying degree certificates, and other important documents along with the online application form.
- Applicants need to enter the identification number in the application form from any one of their ID Proof.
- Candidates should pay the application fee also. candidates can pay the application fee thru the credit card, debit card or net banking.
- Moroeve, candidates must note that no application form will be available for sale anywhere.

GATE 2018 Application Form Correction
In the case of GATE 2018, candidates will be able to make the corrections in the application form thru the official website. It will be possible through the online mode only.
- The duration of GATE 2018 examination will be of 3 hours.
- The question paper will be 100 marks.
- The question paper will have multiple choice questions.
- There will be 65 questions in the question paper from numerical and quantitative aptitude.
- In this exam, 55 questions (almost of 85 marks) will be from core subjects and engineering mathematics. The rest 10 questions will be of 15 marks and will be of general aptitude.
- There will be 23 papers in GATE 2018 and the exam will be held thru online mode.
- Moreover, there will be a provision of negative marking in the examination.

Admit card for GATE 2018 will be available to download through the official website. They can download the admit card from the GOAPS website from 5th January 2018. The applicants should take the printout of the admit card. Candidates need to carry the printed copy of GATE admit card to the examination centre. Along with that, they will have to take the original identification card also with them.

After the successful completion of entrance exam, candidates will be able to check their Answer keys from the official website of GATE. GATE 2018 Answer key will allow candidates to make a rough calculation of marks they are going to score in GATE.
The Score Card of the exam will be available for download from March 2018 tentatively. The GATE score card will represent the result of the applicants with details of the rank and marks obtained in the GATE 2018 exam.
GATE 2018 Cut off

Employment after GATE
There are many PSUs which selects candidates on the basis of the score of GATE. PSUs like National Thermal Power Corporation, Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Power Grid Corporation and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation are such undertakings which select candidates thru GATE. GATE is separate examination and PSUs find it better make it the screening exam for the selection of candidates.
GATE 2018 Counselling
There will not be any common counseling conducted by the IITs. Candidates, who want to take admission in IITs to pursue the PG course, should fill the separate application form and need to appear in the admission session.
NITs will conduct centralized counselling in order to provide admission into M.Tech. / M.Arch./ M.Plan. NITs conduct this centralized counseling every year based on GATE 2018 score.
