During JEE Advanced online registration candidates are asked to upload the scanned copy of sort of certificates/documents. Candidates are advised to collect all those documents before they start the registration process. In this article we are listing here the name of documents required for JEE Advanced registration:

Documents Required for All Category of Candidates

  • Class X certificate with the date of birth, Otherwise candidates can submit the birth certificate.
  • Class XII certificate needs to be submitted by those who appeared for this exam.

Documents Required for Candidates Looking Admission Under the OBC-NCL category

Candidates who are seeking admission under this category are required to submit an OBC-NCL certificate which should be issued on or after specified date and meeting with updated rules of the Govt. of India. Candidates can visit www.ncbc.nic.in for more details regarding this.

Documents Required for Candidates Looking Admission Under SC or ST category

Caste certificate for SC category candidates and Tribe certificate for ST category candidates

Documents Required for Candidates Looking Admission Under PwD category

Candidates belonging to this category are required to submit a disability certificate issued by a district medical board / competent authority. The dyslexic candidate is required to submit FORM-DYSLEXIC in its place of FORM-PwD.

 Documents Required for Candidates Looking Admission Under DS category

Candidates belonging to this category are required to submit FORM-DS certificate generated by a competent authority in the Directorate of Resettlement and Rehabilitation, New Delhi which is under the Ministry of Home Affairs or the Ministry of Defence, Government of India.

Documents required for Candidates Whose Class XII board Belongs to Outside of India

Candidates need to obtain a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities proving that the exam is equivalent to class XII examination.

Documents Required for Candidates having the necessity of Service of a scribe

  • Only those candidates can avail the advantages of the service of a scribe (amanuensis) who are dyslexic, visually impaired, have lost fingers/hands or have a disability with the upper limbs.
  • In order to grab the benefits candidates need to request the Chairman, JEE (Advanced), of the particular zonal IIT in the given format. Candidates can obtain the format of request letter and Dyslexic certificate from the official website of JEE Advanced.
  • Thereafter the Zonal IITs will make the necessary arrangements.
  • Candidates can meet with scribe only one day before in the presence of Presiding Officer (PO), IIT Representatives (IRs) and an Invigilator.
