DASA UG Eligibility Criteria: Age Criteria, Residential Criteria

If you are seeking admission to undergraduate engineering programmes in IIITs, NITs, SPAs and Other Centrally Funded & Premier Technical Institutes through DASA scheme then you must ensure your eligibility for admission. In this post I’ve shared here details related to DASA UG eligibility criteria. Please read this post before you apply for admission.

Age Criteria

In order to apply for admission through DASA scheme, a candidate should be born on or after October 01, 1995. As a proof of your date of birth, you’ll have to submit related certificate.

Academic Criteria

Candidates should have cleared the qualifying exam i.e. class 12^th or its equivalent from an education board as recognized by the Association of Indian Universities.

And

Candidates should have studied Physics, Mathematics and one of the subjects from Computer Science, Chemistry, Biology and Biotechnology either in class 11^th and/or class 12^th, according to the norms of the respective board.

And

Candidates should have obtained at least 60% marks in aggregate or 6.50 CGPA or its equivalent in the qualifying exam. Those who appeared in the qualifying exam with aforesaid subjects in the academic year 2021-2022 and anticipating their final result latest by 15^th September 2021 are also permitted to apply.

And

Candidates should have obtained at least 1440 in SAT subject test (Physics, Mathematics Level 2 and Chemistry). SAT subject score needs to be sent directly via college board to NIT Srinagar. Please keep in mind your online downloaded scorecards won’t be assumed valid. Residential Criteria

Aspirants must satisfy one of the following criteria-

• Person of Indian Origin/Foreign Nationals/Overseas Citizen of India should have completed the qualifying exam from any country including India. Or,
• Indian Nationals who are studying in abroad.

If you are an Indian national then you should have completed class 11^th and 12^th or equivalent from Outside India.
