CG PET Eligibility Criteria 2022- Age Criteria, Educational Qualification

Chhattisgarh Pre-engineering test is organized by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) every year for admission to various engineering disciplines. For appearing in the exam candidates must have to submit their applications before the timeline specified by the admission authority.

All CG PET aspirants who fulfill its related eligibility conditions are only permitted to apply for the exam. If you are not eligible but have applied for the exam then you are liable to get a seat after the declaration of result.

CG PET eligibility criteria is basically a combination of pre-determined terms and conditions which must be satisfied by candidates who have a desire of appearing in this exam. Applicants who do not fulfill the minimum eligibility conditions they can’t apply for the test.

  • Domicile Criteria: Applicants should have permanent citizenship of Chhattisgarh state. In that case, they will have to submit the related certificates.
  • Age criteria: The minimum age of candidates on the notified date should be 17 years, whereas the upper age limit should be 30 years. Relaxation of 3 years in age will be given to candidates belonging to Female, SC, ST, OBC and PH category.
  • Educational Criteria: Candidates who have cleared class XII in the first attempt from a recognized board. They must have qualifying marks in Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. Candidates belonging to general category are required to score at least 45% marks in class XII whereas, this marks is 40% for SC/ST/OBC category candidates.

Reservation Status

There are some reservation rules applicable for candidates belonging to various categories and those rules are as follows:

  • 12% seats are reserved for aspirants who belong to SC category.
  • 32% seats will be for ST category candidates.
  • 14% for OBC category candidates.
  • 14% seats for OBC (Non-Creamy layer) category applicants.
  • 42% seats are remaining for unreserved category applicants.

Reservation norms are also applicable to candidates belonging to these categories:

  • 5% for Wards of Sainik;
  • 3% for Wards of freedom fighters;
  • 3% for Physically Handicapped candidates;
  • 30% seats for female candidates;
  • 1 seat will be reserved for Jammu and Kashmir Migrants.
