BITSAT 2018: BITS, Pillani will conduct Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT 2018) for the candidates seeking admission to its integrated first-degree course of Engineering. The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) provides admission in three campuses i.e. BITS Pilani Campus, Hyderabad Campus and K. K. Birla Goa Campus. The exam will be held online tentatively in the month of May 2018. Candidates, who want to appear BITSAT 2018, must fill the Application form as per prescribed schedule.

BITSAT 2018 Eligibility criteria
We are provided below the details related to BITSAT eligibility which is essential to be fulfilled by the aspirants willing to appear in the entrance test. Your admision will be considered provisional till you satisfy all the mentioned criteria.
Common criteria for all courses (except B.Pharm)
Applicants must have done 12th or its equivalent examination from any recognized state or central board of school education with minimum 75% aggregate marks in PCM (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics). Candidates should be having adequate proficiency in English.
Candidates should have passed class 12th or equivalent examination with PCB with English subject along with scoring 75% marks in PCB (Physics, Chemistry & Biology). However, candidates of PCM group can also apply for B.Pharma.
Skill in English is another major requirement for appearing BITSAT 2018. Along with that, they should have at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology subjects.
Candidates, who are appearing for class 12th exam in 2018 or passed the same in 2017, can apply for BITSAT exam. Suppose, a candidate has taken more than one attempt in class 12th of its equivalent exam then his latest performance will be considered. It is also essential that the attempt made by a candidate is for full component of subjects/courses prescribed.

Application Form: How to apply
Interested and eligible candidates can fill the BITSAT Application form online by going to the official website of University. The application form will be available possibly from the month of January 2018. Aspirants are needed to register themselves, fill the form completely and pay the required fee for appearing in BITSAT 2018. The payment of application fee can be made through credit/debit card/ net banking or via cash payment at any branch of ICICI Bank. Applicants are recommended to keep the printout of filled application form for future reference.
Along with applying and appearing for BITSAT 2018, candidates are also needed to apply for admission to BITS providing information of class 12th marks and preferences to various degree programmes offered.They need to send the duly-filled application form along with application fee payment copy to the address mentioned below:

The concerned authority has prescribed the application fee for BITSAT 2018 is Rs. 2950/- (two thousand seven hundred fifty) for male candidates and Rs. 2450/- (two thousand two hundred fifty) for female candidates. However, candidates who have chosen the exam centre as Dubai, they will be required to pay US $70 (or Indian Rs. 4500/-) as application fee for both Male and Female.
BITSAT 2018 Examination Pattern
Here are the important highlights about BITSAT exam pattern 2018:
- The Exam will be held in online mode.
- Applicants are allowed to choose the BITSAT 2018 exam center, date and venue of the exam.
- The duration of exam will be 3 hours.
- The exam will consist of 150 objective type questions from Physics (Part I), Chemistry (Part II), English Proficiency & Logical Reasoning (Part III) and Mathematics/Biology (For B.Pharm) (Part IV).
- Each correct answer will be awarded 3 marks.
- There will be negative marking of one mark for each wrong response given by the candidate.

Admit Card will be made available for those candidates who have successfully submitted their application form in prescribed manner. Applicants have to download their admit card from official website. Without admit card, no applicant will be allowed to appear in the examination centre.
Candidates who successfully appeared in the entrance exam can check their BITSAT result through the official Website of BITSAT. Applicants are suggested to download their result and take printout of the same.
Only after appearing in BITSAT 2018, candidates will be eligible to find admission, subject to fulfill all eligibility criteria. The authority will publish two merit lists- the first one is for all programmes except the B.Pharm, whereas the other one is particularly for B.Pharm.
Counselling will be held after the declaration of result. Normally, three to four rounds of BITSAT counselling are being organized. In the first round of counselling, the seats are distributed on the basis of the admit list. In second round seat is allocated from waiting list and third admit lists are generated and seats are distributed, respectively.
