Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility Criteria for PhD. Programme: Candidates must hold M.Phil/Master’s degree from Delhi University or any other recognized university and have secured at least 50% marks.
Eligibility Criteria for MPhil Programme: Candidates must hold a Master’s Degree and have secured at least first division (50-60%) marks.
Exam Pattern
Short answers type questions will be asked in the exam and exam duration is 2 hours.

Admission Procedure for MPhil Programme
Candidates having Masters or its equivalent degree are required to appear for a written test organized by the University to become eligible for interview. They will be shortlisted for interview based on their performance in the written test.
Candidates with qualifying status of UGC NET (including JRF)/ UGC-CSIR NET (Including JRF) / DST-INSPIRE / NBHM/ RJNF/GATE or equivalent national level examination/fellowship/GATE/teachers fellowship holder/teachers who are in service in Delhi University can appear for the interview directly.
Candidates having Junior Research fellowships or equivalent research positions in projects, meeting the eligibility requirements, can appear in the interview directly. Scientists/professionals working at R&D institutes of the Government of India/State Government and with whom the University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding may directly appear for interview subject to fulfilling minimum eligibility criteria. All candidates including those appearing directly for interview are required to register on the online admission portal.
Selection Procedure for M.Phil Programme
During the interview, candidates will have to given 5-minute board presentation in an advance area of Mathematics of his/her research interest.
Course Duration: The programme will be for a minimum duration of two consecutive semesters / one year and a maximum of four consecutive semesters/two years.
