Delhi University B.Ed Admission 2018: Central Institute of Education (CIE) is going to release the official notification shortly for admission to Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programme at the University of Delhi. The interested and eligible candidate seeking admission in B.Ed courses at Delhi University should note that the schedule for DU B.Ed admission 2018. Soon the University releases PG application form, candidates can apply for B.Ed programme.  We will update you the date for availability of DU B.Ed application form 2018.

DU B.Ed Admission 2018 Important Dates

The tentative schedule for release of Application Form, exam date, the release date of Admit Card and result declaration date for DU B.Ed admission 2018 is given below.

The B.Ed courses are offered by four colleges of DU that includes:

  • Shyama Prasad Mukherji College for women (SPMC)
  • Faculty of Education (Central Institute of Education – CIE)
  • Maharshi Valmiki College of Education (MVCE)

Eligibility Criteria for DU B.Ed Admission 2018

It is must for all candidates to satisfy the eligibility criteria of DU CIE B.Ed 2018 to get admission. The candidates who fail to fulfill the prescribed eligibility criteria will not be granted admission. So, it is advisable to ensure eligibility before applying for DU CIE B.Ed admission 2018. The details of DU B.Ed admission 2018 eligibility criteria are as follows:

For B.Ed courses

Category I- Aspirants seeking B.Ed admission in the University of Delhi should have done Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Science/ Humanities / Social Science / Engineering/Technology/ Commerce with scoring no less than 50% marks.

Category II- Candidates along with minimum 55% marks in aggregate in B.E/B.Tech and specialization in Mathematics and Science with 55% marks or any other equivalent qualification are eligible to appear in the exam.

Eligibility for Selecting the Teaching Subject

Candidates are allowed to choose only one teaching subject from the given table which they have studied in the qualifying degree i.e. Master’s or Bachelor’s degree for at least 200 marks and acquired minimum 50% marks. The teaching subject, once chosen, will be considered final and no changes will be allowed further under any circumstances. Please have a look on the table given below:

DU B.Ed 2018 Application Form

The application form Delhi University CIE B.Ed admission 2018 will be same as for other PG courses. It means there will be a single application form through which the candidates may apply for various PG courses offered by DU. The application form will be available online only. Candidates have to visit the official website of Delhi University in order to access and fill the application form. Enter all the required details in the application form and submit it before the due date. The candidates will also have to pay the necessary application fee through online payment gateway for successful application submission.

Here are the important instructions associated with DU B.Ed admission 2018:

  • Go to the official admission portal of Delhi University B.Ed admission;
  • Thereafter, candidates have to read the prospectus very carefully;
  • Read the steps furnished in the information brochure;
  • Candidates need to choose one teaching subject very carefully;
  • Select the place of examination very carefully;
  • Candidates are not allowed to make any sort of changes in the form once the payment is made;
  • Once the amount gets paid successfully, candidates need to take the printout of the form and bring it while coming to the examination center.

The details of Delhi University CIE B.Ed 2018 exam pattern are provided below:

Answer key

The department will publish the answer key of the entrance test within 24 hours from the successful completion of the entrance examination. Candidates need to visit the official website to check the answer key concerning the question paper. In case of any discrepancy found in the answer key, the candidate can register a complaint within the specified time period.

Delhi B.Ed 2018 Selection Process

Selection of candidates to B.Ed course will be based on Written Entrance Test.  On the basis of the candidate’s performance in the entrance test, subject category, depending on the rank in the merit list of their respective category, and preference of the colleges, seats will be allotted to candidates to different institutions.

DU B.Ed Admission Procedure 2018

Candidates have to complete all admission formalities before the deadline notified by the exam conducting authority. Here are the details related to DU B.Ed fee structure:

Your admission will be considered complete if

  • You have made the payment of the fee before the given time period;
  • You have submitted two latest passport size photograph along with all original certificates & documents including its attested photocopies;

List of documents required for the submission:

  • Secondary School/ High School Certificate for verification of DOB mentioned.
  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degree marks statements;
  • Provisional certificate or degree of the qualifying examination.
  • Relevant & genuine certificates/documents if you are claiming the benefits under reserved category;
  • Character Certificate needs to be obtained from the institution last attended or any gazetted officer (It is valid for six months from the date of issue).
  • If you are in service then you will have to submit a No Objection certificate from the employer and a letter of sanction of study leave for the period of two years;

      Your daughter can apply. But she will have to produce the provisional certificate, mark sheets of the necessary qualifications, and other necessary documents, at the time of admission to the institution allotted to her.

      As you are from OBC category. Hence, you can avail relaxation by 5%. In this case, you are eligible.
