DU B.Ed Admission and Counselling Procedure 2023– As per your marks in DU B.Ed entrance exam and rank in the merit list you’d be called for appearing in counselling procedure. All qualified candidates will be required to appear in counselling procedure which is going to be organized at Central Institute of Education. In case of tie occurs in terms of marks in the exam applicants older in age shall rank higher.

List of candidates who are called for counselling they need to attend counselling procedure on the prescribed date and time along with following list of documents:

  • Photo identity proof;
  • Printout of the application form in the prescribed format;
  • Entrance exam admit card;
  • Two similar photographs;
  • Photocopies and original copy of all necessary documents.

List of Relevant Certificates

Failing to submit aforesaid documents will cancel the candidature of that particular candidate.

Admission Procedure and Formalities

Candidates who are selected after completion of the counselling procedure will be required to do all admission formalities within the specified deadline. If you fail to do so then your offer would be cancelled automatically and seat will be allotted to next candidate in the merit list. Change of institute once allotted won’t be entertained under any circumstances. In case of candidates whose result are awaiting also need to appear in counselling procedure on the mentioned date and time.

Admission of a particular candidate will be assumed as successful only if he/she makes the payment of requisite fee and submit original certificates along with its attested photocopies and two photographs.

Note:

*B.Ed is a two years duration full-time programme and hence you are not liable to accept any employment during the period of course.

*Candidates are required to submit valid sanction of leave from the employer.

*At any stage if any documents of a candidate is found wrong then admission in respect of that particular candidate will be cancelled at the same time and they will be assumed as a criminal under the Law of India.

Allocation of Institutions and getting Admission

Based on the candidates’ performance in the entrance test, a merit list would be prepared for students who took the test. They can fetch the merit list from the official website or department. Candidates will be allocated an institution based on their rank in the merit list, category of candidates, subject category, seats availability and preference made by candidates. Your name included in the merit list doesn’t mean that your selection has been done finally.

If tie occurs then the University guidelines would be followed. In case candidates have equal marks in the exam then candidates’ marks in the qualifying exam will be filled in online application form. Further, if tie is not resolved then candidates’ marks in XII board will be considered further for breaking the tie.

Each subject category may have various merit lists according to the rank obtained by candidates in the entrance exams and seats availability. For instance, seats may get filled in with high rank in merit for Science/Social Science Subject categories but may continue to get filled in with lower ranks in merit for Home Science category as the seats are more in Home Science.

As there are a number of factors considered for providing admission such as merit in the test, category of candidates, subject category, teaching subjects availability across institution, candidates’ preferences, hence, there will be no changes in the allotted institution allowed further in case. Mutual swapping could be possible amongst candidates.

Admission Formalities 

Shortlisted candidates will have to present with following on the stipulated date and time:

  • Photo ID Proof
  • Print out of their filled-in Application/Registration Form
  • Admit Card of Entrance Test
  • Two latest passport size photographs
  • Original and two sets of photocopies of relevant documents as mentioned below:
  1. High School/Secondary School (class 10) Certificate for verification of date of birth.
  2. Senior Secondary School (class 12) Marks Certificate.
  3. A detailed Statement of Marks of Part- I, II and III at Graduation. In case of Post-graduation being
    the eligibility, a Statement of Marks at Master’s level.
  4. Provisional certificate or degree of the qualifying examination.
  5. Relevant certificate/document from a competent authority, establishing the candidate’s claim for
    reservation and supernumerary seats.
  6. Character Certificate from the institution last attended or from any gazetted officer (valid for six
    months from the date of issue).
  7. In the case of candidates in service, a No Objection Certificate from the employer and a letter of
    sanction of study leave for a period of two years.
