The admission of applicants to these above said courses will be done on the basis of their marks obtained in 10+2 marks and cut-off marks decided by the University or the Du affiliated colleges.

DU Application Form: How to apply?

The DU will release the common pre-admission form for all categories soon. All the eligible candidates can fill the DU Application form through online as well as offline mode. There will be a separate admission form for general category applicants and SC/ST/PWD category candidates. Candidates should fill the application form according to their choice. The candidates can also avail the information brochure along with application form from the various designated centres. After completing the application fill in process, candidates should submit the duly filled form to any of the designated centre. In addition, take the acknowledgement as the evidence of the admission form submission. The admission form is only available for the academic programmes for which entrance test is not organized.

Entrance test for admission

The candidates are requested to appear for the entrance exam as prescribed by the particular DU affiliated college for offering admission. Below we are listing the name of courses for which admission is made through entrance exam.

Admission to DU Postgraduate programmes

The DU will only entertain the following two modes for admission to postgraduate courses

  • Type-1 (Direct Admission) 50% in all categories
  • Type -2 (admission through entrance test)

Type -1 (Direct Admission) 50% under all categories

The candidates who are willing to apply under this category should register themselves by filling the application form in person with Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB). All the faculties apart from those providing inter-disciplinary or professional programme offers direct admission.

Type 2: (Admission through Entrance Test)

Candidates who want to get admitted through entrance test are needed to register online in NCWEB. The process of online registration will be organized for admission to the post graduate programmes available under the departments of Law/ Arts and Humanities/Science and Engineering. Departments providing inter-disciplinary or professional educational programmes offer admission through entrance test and personal interviews.

GEN/OBC Candidates Rs 500/- per course

Note: There is no provision on minimum age limit for admission to the UG & PG courses provided by the DU and its affiliated institutes/colleges

DU Admission

DU Admission Cut off marks

Admission of eligible candidates will be done on the basis of cut-off marks to be released by the affiliated colleges of Delhi University. The cut off marks will be decided through candidate’s previous academic record and class 12th result of the school boards. The selected candidates will get informed about the cut-off marks through the official website of DU.
