DTU Admission 2022: Application Form, Eligibility Criteria, Dates

DTU Admission 2022: Delhi Technological University (DTU) conducts the Joint admission Counselling (JAC) for admission into the various courses.  The counselling process will be commenced jointly for DTU, IGDTUW, IIITD, and NSIT in the month of July 2022. Except that, the other engineering colleges of Delhi will also participate in the counselling process for admission.

Delhi Technological University is an autonomous university which offers multiple courses in engineering and technology, management and applied sciences. Here, candidates have been provided all the vital information on how they can take admission into the DTU’s B.Tech. and Ph.D. courses.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech. Admission

• Candidate must have passed the senior secondary school examination (12^th) from a school attached to a recognized board of education.
• It is also necessary that the applicant has studied English as a compulsory subject in 12^th standard education.
• The minimum age of the applicants must be 17 years and it should not exceed 25 years.

Eligibility Criteria for Ph.D. Admission

Delhi Technological University (DTU) offers admission to candidates into the Fulltime/Part-time Ph.D. courses in several branches of Engineering, Sciences, Humanities, and management. Candidates will be eligible to apply for admission into the Ph.D. courses with the following criteria:

• The applicants must have passed the Engineering / Technology / Sciences / Management / Humanities or in any other discipline.
• Besides that, an applicant having Bachelor’s degree in Engineering & Technology with 75% marks in aggregate (in all semesters) or having equivalent CGPA and if possess excellent research capability will also be eligible to apply for admission into Ph.D. course.
• The candidates of the SC and ST category will get the relaxation of 5% marks and thus will be eligible to apply with 70% marks in the Masters level progrmmae.
• The age criteria has not been set for the Ph.D. course.

Selection Procedure / Admission Process (B.Tech. & Ph.D.)

• Candidates will be provided admission in the university after the screening test and interview.
• After the commencement of the written test, candidates will be interviewed by the admission authority appointed by the Vice-Chancellor of the university.
• The pattern of the written examination will be different for both the courses.
• On the basis of the marks attained by the candidates in the written examination, candidates will be called for the interview.
• After the interview, candidates will be invited by the Delhi Technical University (DTU) to take part in the admission counselling process.

DTU Admission Counselling

• As the written entrance examination and the interview are commenced, candidates will have to take part in the admission counselling.
• The admission counselling will be conducted by Delhi technical university and the other engineering and P.D. colleges combined.
• Candidates will have to reach at the counseling venue on the date and time assigned with all the essential documents of educational qualifications and other certificates.
