About BAMU

Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU) is located in the Aurangabad city of Maharashtra. The name of the university has been named after Bharat Ratna DrB R Ambedkar, an Indian legalist, political leader, academic and chief draftsman of the Indian Constitution. This university was established on August 23, 1958,mainly on the ingenuity of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar to fill the massive losses of high education facilities in western Vidarbha, Marathwada and Northern Maharashtra area. The university was established. There are almost 404 colleges of Aurangabad, Jalna, Beed and Osmanabad which are affiliated with the university.

BAMU Campus details

The campus is spread over more than 725 acres (2.93 km 2). Aurangabad caves are embedded in the premises, providing hills with a picturesque background. Ancient monuments such as the Sonari Mahal (Golden Palace), the tomb of Bibiare located around the university.

BAMU Admission Process

Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University has implemented online admission process from the new sessions in 2017-18. This process enables applicants to apply for various courses from a distant place through the online mode. Applicants will be able to choose the courses and colleges (which are affiliated to the University) of their choice through the online admission process.
